The sugar tax sums up Britain's descent into a technocratic dystopia, says Dr David McGrogan. While our Government does almost nothing well, it remains a world-leader in passive-aggressive, surreptitious nudging.

Nationwide Benetton Demonstrations

category national | animal rights | event notice author Friday December 31, 2004 14:20author by Amanda K - Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN)author email arancampaigns at eircom dot netauthor address Po Box 722, Kildare, Irelandauthor phone 087-6275579 Report this post to the editors

Can You Help Stop Animal Cruelty

You're help is needed as we have planned over 22 demonstrations around the country for different dates.

Please call or email ARAN today. Thanks for all you do.

Hey Fellow Animal Advocates!

What a year we have put down in 2004 and we plan on making 2005 just as good and with more action for animals planned.

Already we swinging into 2005 with the launch of our support campaign for PETA in which they are encouraging United Colors of Benetton to stop buying wool from Australia until Australia bans live animal exports and cruel Mulesing in which poor little lambs have their backsides partly cut off to stop maggot infestation, these poor creatures are also shipped around the world in disease ridden ships ¨C please visit www.unitedcrueltyofbenetton.com for more information on this campaign.

ARAN needs your help. We have planned demonstrations all over the country and our first port of call is Dublin. Because not only do we want to get Benetton¡¯s flagship store we also want the media to cover our national demonstrations support for the Benetton campaign which means when we do demos in other city¡¯s around the country then local media will pick up on the story and may cover it, simple.

We are also using this campaign to get more people out onto the streets speaking out about animal cruelty, using the media to highlight animal abuse and encouraging people to do more to help stop the cruelty ¨C so these demos and this campaign will definitely put us on track for 2005 and will help our work on Irish issues too. We really do hope that you can support our upcoming campaigns for this year and we hope that you will attend this demonstration in Dublin for just one hour. Here are the details below as follows; -

Where: Front of St Stephens Green Shopping Centre, Dublin.

When: Thursday 6th January.

Time: 1pm Sharp.

So we really do hope you can attend this demonstration for as long as you can make it. These projects take a lot of time and hard effort so please do come along and as usual forward this email onto everyone you know and let us know if you are coming along.

Until then, please do join us in writing and emailing Benetton at; -
