offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

offsite link AI Reach: Gemini Reasoning Question of God Sat Aug 02, 2025 20:00 | Mind Agent
Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

This story is unverified but it is very instructive of what will happen when cash is removed
THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

An Imam (author of a book which advised the faithful on how to punish their wives) has been released

the court intend to find a suitable way to "punish the errors of the pen".

Barcelona's high court has released on various conditions, an Imam who was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment in November for inciting gender violence. It was the first prosecution under a law passed by the Tripartite.

Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, who held the position of Imam in Fengirola in Catalonia, had been sentanced on November 29 to one year and three months imprisonment after the public outcry which resulted from the publication of his book "La mujer en el Islam" (the woman in Islam) in which he justified abuse of women and gave instructions on punishment and castigation of one's wife which would leave no trace.

(common torture techniques highlighted annually by Amnesty International).

The High court is releasing him on condition that he study the Spanish Constitution, and international law with emphasis on the International Declaration of Human Rights for a period of at least six months.

The Court commented that his continued incarceration would not assist his integration in wider society, or the integration or normalisation of his community and congregation and of their acceptance of the values of Barcelona.

*********************
It is widely believed in Barcelona that gender violence, torture and all types of nastyness can be stopped. It is also widely believed that the proximity to culturally incongrous use of modern technology, and images of "occidental sexuality" might have ontributed to the "clash of civilisation" between fundamentalist American Christians and fundamentalist Islam, and like the oil just got in between the two.
It it is thus worth noting the case of "indian teenage felatio" which has caused such an uproar amongst the nationalist and jingoist right of the subcontinent who we remember rejected Sonja Ghandi on the grounds she was an italian.
We somehow feel that making yet more enemies from hot countries who accuse us of covorting with the Great Satan is not a terribly good idea, and makes the security of our society's more difficult.

its ironic in spain that the day before to this issue came up in the news, a man was released after been caught trying to kidnap his wife, dressed up and with an anesthesic clothe in his hand, and the jury set him free coz was a "family argument".
i dont understand why the imman was jailed for 2 years under the posibbilty of being dangerous in the future, and this man, spanish, white and very macho, is for sure a safe person to be with...
i havent heard any group or collective or asociation claiming responsabilties for this case... oh yeah! i know the reason, perhaps is not on the standards of the international war on terrorism and islam...(and it wouldnt be on indymedia ireland)

so, lets be more sceptical about law and international news..

All religions should be questioned. If that is perceived as an insult then thats too bad. Only shows their arrogance in assuming that they have the right to be above criticism.

Stop the Hate: Islamo-Fascism's Battle Against Moderate Muslims
By Farish A. Noor
http://www.muslimwakeup.com/main/archives/2004/12/hate_by_farish.php

The news that the American-based website MuslimWakeUp!.com has been attacked by a group of anonymous hackers going by the somewhat pretentious and overblown name of ‘The Islamic OxChallenge Brigades’ can only be met with dismay and disappointment by those of us who count ourselves to be in the ranks of the majority of moderate Muslims the world over.

[....]

That takfir is a despicable practice has received consensus across the learned intelligentsia of the Muslim community, and is something that all Muslim scholars – both Sunni and Shia – agree with. In his last speech before his death, Ayatollah Mahmud Taleqani — one of the spiritual and intellectual founders of the 1979 Iranian revolution — warned of the dangers of religious extremism and the harm that might be done when religious functionaries are given near-total control of the state apparatus.

[....]

The contemporary experience of takfir is often predicated upon such a logic of dialectical opposition that requires the presence of a constitutive oppositional Other for the Islamist project to get off the ground. Simply put, if the radical expression of Islamism requires an external enemy to oppose, one will simply have to be found. And if one is not readily available, then it has to be invented for the sake of the dialectic itself. This explains the constant witch-hunts and persecution of political opponents, intellectuals, writers and academics at the hands of Islamist movements worldwide today. But one has to question the Islamic credentials of an Islamic group that can only call itself Islamic as long as it has an un-Islamic Other (real or imagined) to frame itself against.

The saddest thing about this situation is the fact that takfir is too easy, too convenient, a tool to be used against those that one disagrees with. And like racism, sexism, homophobia, anti-Semitism and class prejudice, is not only close at hand all the time, but also quickly internalised and normalised. So what should we – the vast and overwhelming majority of decent Muslims who want to live in peace and harmony with ourselves and the rest of humanity – do about this?

[....]

For progressive Islam to get off the ground, it needs to prioritise and foreground its concerns in the most inclusive, tolerant and universal manner; seeking out strategic and meaningful alliances with all groups and communities that are likewise fighting for the same goals of social justice and the uplift of humanity as a whole.

MADRID, Spain, June 9 (UNHCR) – In a precedent-setting decision, the Spanish Inter-ministerial Asylum Commission has given refuge to a 38-year-old woman, who could not find protection from decades of suffering at the hands of her husband whom she had been forced to marry. The woman's identity and country of origin have been kept secret to protect her from possible retaliation and to enable her to start a new life far from her home country.
