offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

1. INTRODUCTION
Over the past few weeks the US occupation of Iraq has encountered repeated difficulties. Donald Rumsfeld, the US Secretary of Defence, was forced on the defensive because of the public exposure of brutality by his troops. His resignation was never really on the cards because of his key role and the damage his toppling would cause to the Bush regime itself. Nonetheless, the savage nature of the US occupation continues to be exposed and is under increasing scrutiny. Amnesty International in its recently published annual report has condemned the widespread disregard for human rights in Iraq on the part of coalition forces.

In Ireland, the anti-war movement remains active on a number of fronts. Most importantly, Anti-War Ireland is building for the 'reception party' we intend to lay on for the warmonger-in-chief when he lands at Shannon airport on Friday evening, 25 June. Anti-war protesters will gather at 8pm that evening at Shannon town centre to march on the airport to underline our opposition to the presence of Bush and to the misuse of the airport by the US military.

Anti-War Ireland is also working with the Dublin Grassroots' Network and AmBush2004 on a weekend of protests at Shannon during the Bush visit. Details of the planned events will be released at a press conference to be held in Dublin this coming Friday.

An equally important task for Anti-War Ireland is the building of support for Mary Kelly in the run-up to her trial on 15 June. Mary potentially faces serious time in jail for her decommissioning of a US warplane at Shannon airport last year. Stalls are being organised around the country and Anti-War Ireland has also produced a poster. We would also encourage people to write letters to the press on the issue. For further details contact Liz Tully at fairviewantiwar@eircom.net.

Anti-War Ireland is a broad-based and inclusive anti-war movement, and we appeal to people to get involved. We need to build (and re-build) the anti-war movement across the country. A conference will be held in the wake of the Bush visit in order to properly launch the Anti-War Ireland initiative. We will post further details on this conference (which will be held in Dublin) closer to the date.

Care/act.

2. CLONAKILTY MEETING

An open meeting of Clonakilty Against the War will be held at 8pm in O'Donovan's Hotel in the town on Thursday, 27 May. The impending Bush visit, and the planned Anti-War Ireland demo at Shannon, will be the main item on the agenda. For further details, contact clonakiltyagainstthewar@eircom.net.

3. PUBLIC MEETING IN FAIRVIEW

A public meeting organised by Fairview Against the War/Anti-War Ireland will be held upstairs in Smyth's Public House in Fairview at 8pm, Friday 28 May.

Titled 'The US use of Shannon Airport', the meeting will be addressed by Finian McGrath TD; David Horgan (MD of Petrol Resources Oil Exploration Company in Iraq); Deirdre Clancy (Pitstop Ploughshares); and Maggie Roynane (a Galway-based archaeologist).

All welcome!! For further information, phone 01 8535298.

4. ANTI-WAR STALL IN ENNIS

The regular 'Support Mary Kelly' stall and leafleting will be held in Ennis town centre this coming Saturday, 29 May. It will begin at 12.30pm and go on until the late afternoon. All help gratefully received, and if you can make it on the day, please do so. For further information: fairviewantiwar@eircom.net.

5. ANTI-WAR STALL IN CORK

An anti-war stall and leafleting will be held in Cork city this coming Saturday, 29 May. The stall will highlight the upcoming trial of Mary Kelly, and will be aimed also at building for the Anti-War Ireland demo in Shannon during the Bush visit. All welcome to help out! Starts at Daunt Square at 2pm and will continue until 4pm or later.

6. PUBLIC MEETING IN ENNIS

Is there a future for Shannon airport and can it survive without servicing the US military? What dangers does the militarisation of Shannon airport pose to local people?

These issues will be addressed at a public meeting in Ennis which will bring together two international experts. Economist Richard Douthwaite will talk on alternative development strategies based on economic development work in communities around the world. Henk van der Keur will talk about the dangers of munitions to local people due to military flights, based on the experience of the El Al crash in 1992 onto a housing estate in Amsterdam. He will also talk more generally about the dangers posed by depleted uranium munitions. They will be joined by Shannon town councillor Greg Duff.

The meetiong will be held in Glor, Ennis, at 7.30pm.

7. PUBLIC MEETING IN SHANNON

Same as above, except this meeting will be held at 8pm, Sunday, 30 May, in the Oakwood Arms Hotel, Shannon.

8. MARY KELLY POSTER

Anti-War Ireland has produced a 'Support Mary Kelly - On trial for defending Irish neutrality' poster. It is attached to this e-bulletin in pdf format. The poster is A3 and in colour. We recommend that anti-war groups or individuals download it onto disk, run off colour copies (A3 size) in your local photocopy shop or printers, and put them up in your area and workplaces. Mary's trial begins on 15 June, so it is imperative that these be put up asap.

9. VIGIL AT US EMBASSY

Memorial Day (Monday, 31 May) is a national holiday in the US when war-dead are remembered. In conjunction with US citizens, the Pitstop Ploughshares/Catholic Workers' Five are holdin a vigil against the present war on Iraq at Dublin's US embassy on Monday, 5pm-7pm. All welcome!

A peace vigil will then be held from 5pm-7pm every Monday in the lead-up to the Bush visit.

10. BENEFIT GIG FOR PITSTOP PLOUGHSHARES

The Pitstop Ploughshares (aka Catholic Worker 5) are facing trial for their decommissioning of a US warplane at Shannon airport early in 2003. They are charged with causing millions of dollars worth of damage to a piece of military hardware; in their view (and ours) they didn't damage this warplane, they improved it. The CW5 need the support of all anti-war activists.

A benefit gig will be held at Mother Redcaps (near Christchurch) on Tuesday, 8 June (8.30pm to late). Performers will include Ronan and Rossa O Snodaigh and other friends from Kila; Paul O'Toole; and there will be Afro-Celtic music.

Should be a fun night, and everybody should make an effort to attend.

Press Release, 27/5/04

PRESS CONFERENCE to announce plans for anti-war demonstrations at Shannon as Bush arrives in Ireland, 25-26 June

A press conference will be held at 2pm on Friday, 28 May, at the Teachers' Club, 36 Parnell Square, Dublin, to announce plans for anti-war demonstrations in the environs of Shannon airport during the Bush visit on 25-26 June.

The conference is open to all journalists and members of the media.

Anti-war organisations from across the country have come together to organise a series of events at Shannon to 'unwelcome' George W. Bush as he arrives on Irish soil.

Anti-War Ireland has already announced a demonstration that will assemble at Shannon town centre at 8pm on Friday evening, 25 June, before marching to the airport to 'greet' Bush as he arrives. Both the Dublin Grassroots Network and Ambush2004 have now indicated that they will support this demonstration.

The following organisations will be represented at the press conference:

Anti-War Ireland (a broad-based national alliance of anti-war groups, including the Clare/Limerick-based Mid-West Alliance Against Military Aggression, the Cork Anti-War Campaign, Fairview Against the War, the Dublin Anti-War Group, and other groups and individuals across the country. Dr Fintan Lane is convenor of Anti-War Ireland, while Caoimhe Butterly and Tim Hourigan are both national spokespersons).

Dublin Grassroots Network (this group recently organised the May Day march to Farmleigh and has a large membership in the Dublin area).

Ambush2004 (an alliance of grassroots groups, most notably the Galway and Cork Grassroots networks).

The following people will represent the three groups:

Dr Fintan Lane, Anti-War Ireland (convenor of Anti-War Ireland).

Caoimhe Butterly, Ambush2004 (Caoimhe is also a member of Anti-War Ireland).

Clare Lee, Dublin Grassroots Network.

I have no problem with you proclaiming that you are an anti-war ass clown, sorry activist!
But when you, and your organisation, put your name behind a criminal, yes criminal, like Mary Kelly then you really piss me off. To even begin to compare her to a political activist is comical.
And as for your vigil on Memorial Day, it's tasteless, pure and simple. Memorial Day is a day to reflect upon the people that gave their lives for their country. Not an excuse to raise your opposition to the conflict in Iraq. Then again, if you got off your ass and did anything for your own country I suppose you might have a little bit of respect, you mal-odorous, whinging leftie.

Give us your real name Shawn if you are not afraid to stand over your vilification of Mary Kelly and Fintan Lane.
I am a criminal and proud of it.
Those who have put their freedom on the line to stop this war may be criminals in the eyes of the state and in your eyes. But then Gandhi was a criminal, Jesus was a criminal, M Luther King was a criminal.
Put your name to your poison letter and we might be able to discuss things but I don't think you like discussion - just hit and run under cover.
Would that be criminal or just cowardly?

Why does an anti-war movement have to be "explicity anti-racist and anti-sexist?" What in the name of God has that got to do with protesting against war?

It wouldn't be true that the Irish Anti-War movement is nothing more than a platform for ultra-liberal half-baked Communists with big ambitions?
