BlackPope Released by High Court !!!

category national | anti-war / imperialism | press release author Saturday March 06, 2004 00:37author by BlackPopeauthor email BlackPope at operamail dot comauthor address until very recently in Limerick Prison Report this post to the editors

@ 21:40h Friday - 1HOUR AGO on Modified Bail

This is a brief notification that *** I'M OUT, DAMMIT *** Yes, it's really me speaking here, the actual, factual BlackPope in pucking ferson!!

There was an emergency sitting of the High Court at 8pm tonight before Justice Herbert for Haebeus Corpus (to determine if detention was lawful) but it was basically converted into a bail hearing.

Bail was granted at €5 and an exclusion from a kind of a wierd box around Shannon, but this is temporary until Monday 2pm in the High Court nr.9, when the whole thing will be thrashed out at length (and rescinded). The matter of Haebeus Corpus and leave to seek Judicial Review have been adjourned until Monday also.

I'm still in delayed shock at all this but VERY OVERJOYED to be out.

Spectators are welcome for the hearing on Monday and I thank everyone who offered support, moral, material or otherwise that certainly helped me through my time inside.

Hasta la Victoria Siempre!! Signed BP
