being links to the now three day battle between FF and Labour

these are the primary listening comprehension files taken from RTE the Irish State broadcaster.

First Deputy Joe Higgins TD went to jail.
Mountjoy. "Closed prison".
everyone in the know knew he would.
he's ok.

Second Bertie sent out the Minister for Tourism, the one most familiar with other countries to say four times "the oldest democratic party in the state".
FF calls for Rabbitte to clarify position on stance of jailed
TD Joe Higgins
John O'Donoghue, Minister for Tourism, says it is time for Labour
leader Pat Rabbitte to say whether he supports jailed TD Joe Higgins
over his stance on the bin protest

Third
O'Donoghue continues attack on Rabbitte over Higgins stance
Eamon Gilmore, Labour's environment spokesman, responds to Fianna
Fáil minister John O'Donoghue's criticism of Labour in relation to
the jailing of TD Joe Higgins for his stance on the bin protest

The Labour party man only repeated his "soundbyte kernal" twice, obviously he has better handlers.

Fourth
a cross party grouping of "Left" and "alternative" parties in the state decided to go visit Joe in Jail.

Could someone please tell me what we pay our taxes for?
If we work, we pay PRSI, if we don't we pay VAT. The corporate sectors pays less tax than the PRSI worker.
Yet, the corporate sector gains more than the PAYE worker.
So Riddle me this?
What duties and obligations are local authorities supposed to carry out?
Is it (a) sanitation services or (b) do they abdicate these duties to the private operator?
In essence what I'm saying is that the workers and the less well off are starved of state resources while the rich are pampewred and encourgaed to exploit the poor.
Local authorities have an obligation to provide sanitation services to the people, which included refuse collection services. We pay our dues to the centaral coffers, so why tax us and jail us if they refuse to pay twice?

Minister Joe Walsh FF went out on the wireless today.
This is a man who "knows" his new technology.
His personal website http://www.joewalsh.ie/html/joewalsh.htm
was "Joe Walsh.ie has been reviewed
and chosen to bear the 2002-2003 Golden Web Award".
(No-one told us)

Minster Joe wasn't talking about Deputy Joe though. He went on RTE to discuss "equality before the Law" and the trauma of road accidents.
I doth qoute "he is now under the law, and like any other citizen he has to be --- he has to be-- he has to be--- subject to the Law".

(Minister Joe was not we may presume subject to handlers before hand. oh that hesitation.)

Anne Butler was seriously injured by car last week, the car was being driven by a FF deputy.
Deputy GV Wright.

The Garda (Police) are preparing a file on "Drink Driving" which is _very illegal_ and leaves many people in *"·wheelchairs·"* and so on....

These listening files are of intermediate comprehension and make interesting comparison to the "FF v. Labour" tax story.

was run over by the FF deputy

visit Minster Joe's site and check it out.
I don't think it deserves any rewards. But Minister Joe has a pleasant voice, far from Kerry Red Scare, he moved on to deal with the naming of a FF bogus account holder.

Minister Joe!
I'll get back to you about horses some day.

but we give awards for sites too!
