This is a public interest story about a complete failure of governance and management at UCC.

offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

This story is unverified but it is very instructive of what will happen when cash is removed
THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

Cork pro-choice film screening

category cork | rights, freedoms and repression | press release author Wednesday September 03, 2003 13:42author by Pat Cauthor email cwrcg at yahoo dot ie Report this post to the editors

Cork Womens Right To Choose Group
Invite you to the only screening of
If These Walls Could Talk
Starring Cher, Demi Moore, Sissy Spacek & Ann Heche

In the Kino Cinema, Washington Street Cork
On Sunday Morning September 7th 2003 @11am

Set in a single suburban house, this HBO production spans 40 years, comprising three stories that examine the evolution of a womans right to choose an abortion in the US. Directed by Nancy Savoca (DOGFIGHT, TRUE LOVE) and Cher, this film is a poignant examination of the evolution of the abortion debate, beginning with the tragedy of illegal back-alley abortions and ending with the violence so prevalent at womens clinics in the US.

This pro-choice film screening is to mark the twentieth anniversary of the insertion of the Eighth Amendment into the Irish Constitution in 1983. This amendment conferred on a foetus a right to life equal with that of the woman in whose womb it developed. It has been used to restrict access to information on abortion and it has deepened legal uncertainty about whether terminations on medical grounds may be performed, even in cases in which the life of the woman is at risk or in which a foetus is not viable. Even after the 1992 X case, in which a suicidal 14 year-old, pregnant as a result of rape, was given permission to have an abortion, no legislation was introduced to provide for such cases. On the contrary, since 1992, Fianna Fail-led governments have twice attempted to roll back this judgement in order to ensure that a child, pregnant in such circumstances, would have no access to abortion in Ireland.

Statistics suggest that as many as 19 Irish women travel to Britain for abortions every day. This is an option for those who can afford it, though as well as the stress caused by crisis pregnancies, the fact that they have to travel means that these women suffer enforced separation from families and friends. What options have women who cannot afford to travel, or asylum seekers afraid that they will be refused re-entry to Ireland? Interestingly, a recent survey found that 11% of GPs in Northern Ireland had treated patients following amateur abortion attempts. No such survey has been conducted in the Republic.

The Cork Womens Right to Choose Group is involved, with other organisations in the Alliance for Choice, in working for the repeal of the Eighth Amendment and the introduction of legislation, which reflects the needs of women. The film screening is part of this ongoing campaign and is intended both to mark the passing of the Eighth Amendment and to raise consciousness of the complex issues around abortion. The CWRCG hopes that you will attend this film screening and support the Irish pro-choice campaign.

It is racist...saying all Nigerians are out for one thing IS racist.

As for the crap about "closing our borders" - economic lunacy.

The PC fascists are so quick to brand people racist. These are genuine questions that most Irish people are quietly asking themselves.

If we had a referendum on immigration tomorrow we would close up our borders to non-EU people immediately.

Oh dear, oh, dear! Poor asylum seekers having to go back to England to have their abortions! How tragic! Bloody hell, as far as I can gather, these poor asylum seekers are flooding into Ireland to have their children here so they can become EU citizens. Why the hell would they want to have an abortion? Ask any Nigerian in England or Nigeria why they are targeting Ireland and they will all tell you it's because Ireland is the easiest place to gain EU citizenship.
Nigeria, potentially the richest country in Africa because of their oil wealth is also the most corrupt country in Africa. Why are they flooding into Ireland? Why Ireland? What have we to do with them? There is no war there. So why are they claiming refugee status all over the world? Why is there 500,000 Nigerians in Argentina? Why is there 1 million at least in London? Why are they targetting Dublin? Why have we Muslim refugees in Tralee? Why? Almost the furthest outposts of Europe, places like Trallee in Kerry, Donegal. What are these people doing here? What is the sinister plan behind all of this? Why suddenly has Ireland got to become multiculturist? Who is pushing this agenda? Is Bertie Aherne being blackmailed? Are we being forced into accepting a certain number of third world Muslim immigrants? Why?

you say " the introduction of legislation, which reflects the needs of women"

That's very vague. Have you any more details?

Reviewer: A viewer from Chico, CA United States
I had an abortion at 13 and now (at 23) I counsel women who suffer from Post Abortion Trauma. This movie tries to make abortion seem like it's not a negative thing, however the topic goes well beyond black and white. Don't count on this as your education regarding terminating a pregnancy. Instead volunteer at a clinic and watch the change which befalls women afterwards. The vacant look you see in their eyes will overpower you much more than Demi or Cher. I assure you.

for killing human beings for the sake of convenience.

Even if we are unwilling to categorize foetuses of a month or two as babies, isn't the poster correct, since as far as we can tell--and those of us who are familiar with the US abortion lobby know this to be true--the pro-abortionists who made this film are highly unlikely to oppose late-term abortions. Therefore it is actually a question of them supporting the killing of babies, of 6, 7 or 8 months gestation.

And count me as another one who doesn't want his taxes used for that either. There's already too much killing going on in this world.
