For the last few years since the CV19 scamdemic undocumented immigration into Ireland has surged. No one is allowed discuss it because they do not want any rational debate about it. If you do you are labelled an extremist. However this out of control immigration is fully facilitated by the Irish government and the EU and the shady figure behind the Neo Con movement pushing for endless war, wokeism and globalist agenda.

Carnival and March Group ISF

Minutes of a meeting held on 30th August 2003-08-31 in the
Teachers Club.

Attendance Joe Campbell, Orla Walsh, Paul , Mark Grehen, Cuan, Brian Cuddy.

Apologies Claire Lee and Niamh.

Agenda

1. Report from March group Mark and Cuan.

Two documents were presented - a proposal about speakers and the copy for a potential leaflet.
The Starting point of the parade was discussed with no
conclusion. A final suggestion would be that it starts at the
Central Bank goes down Westmoreland Street and on to
Smithfield. It depends on the venue for the carnival being
confirmed as Smithfield Square. The March group are keen
that the parade passes by major shopping areas to get attention.

The March group wondered about sharing a PA with the
carnival group. It was felt that it would be too much trouble to
move a lorry so the march group were happy to use a smaller
PA which will cost around e200.

The March group want to start to publicise the parade. They
feel a 6 week programme is needed to get people on the parade
and want to issue a leaflet as soon as possible. This will be
given out in particular at the September 27th Protest. They
suggested the carnival put information on the back. It was
pointed out that we would probably not have the venue
confirmed for at least two weeks. Some people felt it was
crucial to get information out just to let people know about the
carnival even without the venue confirmed. Joe Campbell
agreed to write something about the carinval for the leaflet. A
deadline was suggested of the 4th of September. This will cost
E300. The leaflet issue was brought forward to talk about with
the wider group. The leaflets are A5. There would also be a
glossy brochure for all the events brought out later. The cost of
the leaflet will have to be discussed with Finance group.

Two colour posters were suggested that will cost E1000. The
issue of overall graphic design came up. (later John Meehan
said Joe Kelly had a possible contact with a designer Adam
May).

There was a discussion about proposed speakers for the start of
the parade. A possible Bus worker was agreed. On the
environmental theme, Orla and Joe disagreed with having a Bin
Tax speaker and suggested that a wider or more global speaker
might be better. Orla pointed out the ISF had not got a position
on the Bin Tax. This was agreed. A speaker from Oxfam was
proposed and agreed by all.
Mark suggested that on the Racism issue perhaps a child of a
possible deportee would speak though there would also be a
back up speaker. Joe Campbell proposed leaving two spaces
for speakers that impress during the Summit. This was agreed.

We discussed the name of the parade. The overall name of the
Carnival 4 Change was proposed and agreed on for the
moment.

2. Report from Carnival Group.

The work on the event plan continues with Niamh doing lots of
work with Joe. We hope to have this completed as soon as
possible.

Joe Campbell spoke with Rebecca from Oxfam and they were
keen to support and be involved with the fair trade stalls at the
carnival. Perhaps support it like the Dun Leary Festival with T-
shirts and poster etc. At a later discussion about the urgent
issue of insurance Joe said he would ask Oxfam to possibly
support this. Claire Lee is also making some calls in relation to
this to a broker.

Orla Walsh spoke about Marques and the high cost of about
E2-3000 and the other costs they bring. She suggested
individual marquees or gazebos for stalls. She has access to 15
for free. If we needed to buy more they cost about E70, It was
agreed to forget about the Marque.

From doing some research about Smithfield, it was essential
that we get local involvement and speak to Mary Weir as soon
as possible. Claire Lee was going to ring her on Friday to
arrange a meeting. Orla and Paul were going to get in touch
with the MACRO centre and other community leaders on the
HARP committee. Christy Burke is the Chairman of this
committee so Mark Grehen was going to tell him of our plans
and get his support.

There was a discussion of charges for the Carnival. E50 for
Fair trade stalls and E150 for more commercial foodstalls from
Temple Bar market for example.

The carnival time is from 1pm – 6pm. Cuan said he had a
friend an American folk singer who was keen to perform
David Rovics. Brian Cuddy is still talking to Dice bar about a
green room etc for performers.

Paul reported that the Order of Malta cost E150 for the day.

There was a discussion about ideas for making the
march/parade more carnival like. The Samba band will lead us
off and we talked about using flags. This was felt to be a bit
nationalistic so we discussed working with a community group
to produce a more general flag or emblem. Joe said he would
call Macnas to check out if they had any costumes etc.

End of carnival/Parade meeting. We brought 5 issues to the
wider group for discussion.

* Graphics – Joe Kelly is approaching a designer.
* Speakers on the Parade- agreed in general
* Budget for leaflets etc. – Pat Clafferty questioned how
they were to be distributed and paid for. Not complete
concensus on the leaflets.
* Oxfam and the insurance question – welcomed.

Next meeting to be early next week.
