Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

Minutes From Launch of South-East Social Forum
ATGWU Union Hall, Keyser Street, Tuesday 15th July 2003
Minutes taken by Roy Hassey: 086-3274015 royhassey@eircom.net

In Attendance:

Seamus Cashman Roy Hassey: Socialist Workers Party
Declan Doyle Ben Nutty: Green Party
Caroline Blaney Brian Quinlan: SIPTU
Una Ryan John Cloono: ATGWU
Breda Fell: ATGWU Aidan O’Halloran: Socialist Workers Party
Ciara Doyle St. John O Donnabhain
John Kiely: Community Workers Co-op/Sinn Fein Dick Roche: Waterford Council of Trade Unions
Dan Kelly: Globalise Resistance Jim D’Arcy: TUI
Samantha Richardson Joan Quirke: ATGWU
Paul Flynn Yvette Flynn: Globalise Resistance

Introduction

Yvette Flynn of Globalise Resistance convened the forum and spoke about where the concept of Social Forums emerged, from the World Social Forum in Porto Allegre to the European Social Forum in Florence and the Irish Social Forum in Dublin. She spoke about the growth of the international anti-capitalist movement and how that had led to the success of the anti-war movement and February 15th.

Paul Flynn gave a report back from the European Social Forum in Florence last November where he took part in a million strong anti-war march and many meetings and seminars at the forum. He also encouraged everyone to come to Dublin in October for the World Economic Forum events.

Aidan O’Halloran, a Ballybeg Community Worker and member of the SWP reported back from the second all-island Irish Social Forum get-together on July 6th. He spoke about how the ISF is an attempt to bring together civil society and the wider left to challenge the negative effect neo-liberal economic policies are having on democracy, community, human rights, workers rights, the environment and public services. He also pointed out that Ireland is the most globalised economy in the world and as a result has the second highest level of poverty in the western world.

Roy Hassey of the Socialist Workers Party spoke about the World Economic Forum and the plans around their summit in Dublin in October. He outlined the four events in October: The alternative summit on co-operation, the carnival for global justice, the protest against the WEF on O20 and the blockade of Dublin Castle also on O20. He explained the composition of the WEF and some of the policies they perpetuate such as privatisation of public services, unlimited free trade and corporate control of the economy. He spoke about how the Irish government is one of the WEF’s best pupils in the implementation of neo-liberalism and encouraged everyone to the October organising meeting in Dublin the following Sunday. He said the decisions emanating from the WEF will adversely affect every person in the country and therefore we had a duty to oppose it.

Discussion

Una asked for how long the ISF had been meeting and who was involved. Roy read out a list of the organisations that were present at the launch of the ISF on July 6th.

John Kiely spoke about the importance of getting people from outside Waterford involved and contacting groups in Wexford, Kilkenny and Carlow and encouraged everyone to contact as many people as they could and invite them to the next meeting. Dick agreed with making the SESF as broad and diverse as possible.
Paul asked how we intend to advertise O20 and the SESF and talked about how October was an opportunity for people to re-enfranchise themselves. He also said the experience of the ESF in Florence proved that there were millions of people out there who were against the neo-liberal agenda.

John Cloono spoke about how October was an opportunity to bring the spirit of anti-capitalism to Ireland and bring together the many groups and people who oppose neo-liberalism.

Una raised the question of violence on O20. Aidan responded that the best way to avoid violence was to maximise the numbers on the protests. Roy pointed out that the protest and blockade would be strongly stewarded, hopefully by trade unions.

Breda spoke about the importance of having trade union involvement in the ISF and O20 and that she would be working through the ATGWU to encourage people to get involved.

Dick agreed with Breda on trade union involvement and also spoke about the importance of relating the policies of the WEF with people on the ground.

Seamus asked about the international mobilisation for O20. Roy pointed out that with all the major anti-capitalist protests across the world, 95% of the people involved were local. Yvette stressed the importance of our role in getting people in the south-east involved in the ISF and O20. Seamus pointed out that in order for O20 to be successful it must be seen as an Irish mobilisation rather then an international one.

Syngan spoke about using Indymedia as an alternative to the mainstream media to publicise the forum and the need to connect with rural campaigns and groups as well as urban ones.

Decisions

It was decided that the structure of the South East Social Forum should mirror that of the Irish Social Forum, so four working groups were established to organise for O20 and beyond. Volunteers were asked for each group.

well done to all concerned - great to see it getting of the ground. I shall add your emails to the all-island ISF e-list.
Roy, I mailed you some contacts a while back involved with the Waterford Community Forums. Any luck there?

Well, best of luck to one and all in getting the community, environmental, development etc sectors on board.

I have re-posted the summary of the 2ND ALL-ISLAND ISF GET-TOGETHER below in order to clafiry how things stand for October. Remember - the smaller workshops/discussion groups of the Co-Operation Counter Summit, the blockade, the carnival, and the March against the WEF, ARE NOT being organised by the ISF.

anyway best of luck to all,
later,
Barry

SUMMARY OF DECISIONS OF THE 2ND ALL-ISLAND ISF GET-TOGETHER:

1. The existing Irish Social Forum (ISF) core Working Groups (the ISF Building and Finance Working Group, ISF Communications Working Group, the ISF Outreach Working Group, and the ISF Topics and Principles Working Group) will continue to exist (see section above: What Conclusions Did We Come To About The Long-Term Process Of The Irish Social Forum) and undertake their broad functions and connect with the different groups where necessary and appropriate in order that the ISF would -present- the weekend as a series of events, though web postings, and possibly leaflets, pamphlets and posters.

2. The core Working Groups of the Irish Social Forum (see above) will host just the main meetings/presentations, not all the events, of the ISF Co-Operation Counter-Summit of Fri. 17th to Sun. 19th October 2003.

3. A Co-Operation Counter-Summit Working Group will be established to organise other details, meetings, workshops, discussion groups, dialogues etc for this October ISF Co-Operation Counter-Summit.

4. The ISF does not endorse any of the four main elements of the weekend prior to and during the WEF Competition Summit.

5. At the end of any web-postings, publications etc a single list of participant organisations would be included with a disclaimer. [Disclaimer says: The ISF is a non-executive body and the activities organised during the Social Forum do not necessarily reflect the views of the individual affiliates and participants.]

6. A Carnival for Global Economic and Social Justice Working Group will be established to organise the carnival of Sun. Oct. 19th 2003.

7. A March Against the WEF Working Group will be established to organise the March of 6.00pm. Mon. 20th 2003.

8. A group called the O-20 Blockade Alliance will be established to organise the mass civil disobedience of the morning of Mon. 20th 2003.

9. Organisations and groups are responsible for their own activity and decision whether or not to join/endorse any of the activities.

10. Each group and working group would organise the different events in all its aspects.

it's great to get people mobilised in the south east.

On the other hand, couldn't you have got somebody who wasn't in GR/SWP to speak? This creates an impresion of front-building. Even if you have the best intentions, it isn't a great way of convincing people that it is genuinely a broad alliance.

And when "Roy pointed out that the protest and blockade would be strongly stewarded, hopefully by trade unions", couldn't he have just pointed out that there were no groups in Ireland advocating violence and no history of it in the movement here. Why not at least try to counter the media's lies and scaremongering, rather than starting to line up parts of the movement against each other.

stewarding is necessary on large marches to keep everyone going in the right direction and to act as a buffer between cops and demonstrators. For whatever reason, very few parties or groups bother with it or know how to do it properly. The stewarding on Feb 15th by the Anti-War Movement was shambolic, stewards do not go around with collection buckets.

Trade Unions and the Shinners are the only people who take it seriously.
