30 Left-Wing MPs Call on Ofcom to Censor X Under the Online Safety Act. Of Course They Do Sun Nov 23, 2025 09:00 | Laurie Wastell
Thirty Left-wing MPs have written to Ofcom to press it to censor X under the Online Safety Act. The evidence of 'hate' on the platform is threadbare, but it's obvious why they want to clip its wings, says Laurie Wastell.

The BBC's Director of Comedy wants to "save the sitcom". But the sitcom is only endangered because most of them stopped being funny. As To the Manor Born reminds us, British comedy has lost its class, says Finlay McLaren.

please give as much info on this case as poss.
and c/f criminal damage case against the little old ladies of Scottish nuclear Trident ploughshare fame.
and is there an appeal € account.
I'm sure that the magistrate will be aware that Eoin's action was motivated by two very important principles: a desire to stop the slaughter of innocent civilians and a desire to prevent the illegal servicing of USAF aircraft upon Irish soil.
It would be a good idea if the money wasted in diverting Gardai (from their proper duties in investigating financial corruption among our business and political elite and ensuring that more drivers adhere to the speed limits) into preventing citizens from observing airplanes from the public viewing gallery were instead spent upon our appalling bus system.
Good luck Eoin.
A lotta people gotta laugh outta that one! It was funny - and pretty skilful, too.
The court case will be very interesting.
and if not are there sufficient funds / planning to support a higher court hearing to facilitate such questions and answers, and the calling of relevant state witnesses to explain the presence of a hostile world power´s military machinery of murder in a neutral state´s airport?
Good Luck Eoin. = onside
Eoin, or any one else who can answer this,
"The court was told the charges are being contested and the hearing will involve over 14 witnesses, including an expert witness from the United States."
I'm just wondering about that sentence - which side are all those 14 witnesses on? is it kinda half and half or what? Sorry if its a bit of a silly question. hope plans for the case are going well.
Also do you have a bank account and details that people can donate to if it is needed?

campaings to release the innocent:
Birmingham 6, Maguire 7, Guildford 4, Winchester 3 to mention a few, and the work of SAOIRSE and more recent campaigns on political prisoners/defendents.
Witnesses may be called by both sides. The higher the court the more witnesses and the presence of jury. Money is needed to pursue this course of action.
MR Dubski could have given protesters the lawsuit they need to widen the campaign.
And Mr Dubski needs social support, buy him rounds and rounds of drink.
I was with Eoin in Shannon yesterday.
When we got to the court the caretaker told us we'd missed the judge by 5 minutes.
Eoin knew his first bus was going to be delayed. I'd imagine the flooding would have had something to do with that.
So Eoin rang ahead to tell Insp Kennedy of Shannon Garda. Eoins says Inspector Kennedy told him Eoin was way down the list. Eoin told them he would not make it before lunch, having missed the connecting bus from Dublin.
If we only missed the judge by 5 minutes, then
when we were getting the bus from Limerick, the court must have been sitting.
It would not have been unreasonable effort for inspector Kennedy have someone ring young Dubsky (he has his mobile number) to see where he was before they decided to issue an arrest order.
It's not like Eoin decided not to show up.
Eoin was well shocked to see the hall at Shannon
empty of people just past 2pm.
At his last appearance, proceedings went on all day, and Eoin wasn't called until about 5pm.
He phoned Inspector Kennedy, was told he was a 'wanted man' and then we went to the Garda Station at Shannon, and they drove Eoin to Ennis.
Anyhow, the judge set Dec 18th for the trial, at Tulla, Co. Clare.
To avoid further hassle, Eoin will probably stay at my house in Limerick the night before, or else with someone in the Ennis area.
To my knowledge, Eoin is calling one witness, and the rest will be airport security and Gardai.
bear in mind i know fuck all about the legal system...
is there any chance that eoin's trial can actually be reversed to bring into question the legitimacy of these warplanes on irish soil and the whole neutrality thing?
could bertie end up in prison for treasonous breaching of the constitution?
or does this kinda beautiful shit only happen in matlock?
The main charge against me is for criminal damage to the US Airforce Hercules at Shannon Airport that night. I don't dispute that I spray-painted the warplane, but I hope to spend most of the time on Dec 18th (my trial date) showing the court that I had legal excuse (Statutory Defence), I had to act to prevent a greater evil (Common Law Defences of necessity), what I did was entirely legitimate and reasonable under International Law (International Law Defence that authorises me to act in order to prevent the commission of crimes recognised under international law), and that I have a Moral Defence which is mine as a living being.
...Judge Mangan isn't going to put an arrest warrant out for Bertie like he did for me last week... and even if he acquits me under any of the above laws its just the district court and wouldn't mean much for the law.
Alas, I heard a funny thing yesterday: A guy in First Year law in UCD read my name on his reading list "Eoin Dubsky v Ireland"! :-) Class, no?
