Thirty Left-wing MPs have written to Ofcom to press it to censor X under the Online Safety Act. The evidence of 'hate' on the platform is threadbare, but it's obvious why they want to clip its wings, says Laurie Wastell.

Workers at Cityjet Handling have been on strike for nearly two months. The key issue in this dispute is union recognition. Cityjet Handling are attempting to introduce yellow pack labour into Dublin Airport. If they succeed then the wages and conditions of employment of all workers in the airport will be threatened.

Cityjet management have taken out an injunction against DAWN (Dublin Airport Workers Network), who have been organising solidarity protests in support of the strikers at Cityjet Handling. 12 people, including Socialist Party Councillor and SIPTU shop steward Clare Daly have been named in the injunction.

An Appeal to Trade Unionists

DAWN are appealing to trade unionists to support the Cityjet strikers. On Wednesday 23 October and Thursday 24 October protests will be held in Dublin airport in support of the strikers. Your support is needed. The Gardai have been assisting the union busting tactics of Cityjet, and UPS (Cityjet Handling's biggest customer).
The protests will take place at 6.30pm on both evenings. Protestors are being asked to assembled by 6.45pm at the latest.
Directions to protest:
You can park at the Great Southern Hotel, - go to the Ryanair building which can be seen from the front door of the hotel. Behind the Ryanair building, follow the road until you come to a gate - you will meet other protestors at this point.

Please make every possible effort to support the Cityjet strikers by attending these protests - it is possible that the Gardai will try and arrest some of the 12 people named in the injunction - your presence can help stop these arrests as well as helping to win this vital dispute.

More of this failed marxist-leinist, stalinist, trade union shite. Yet another excuse for so-called 'workers' to go on the doss.
