Yassamine Mather interviewed on the Beeb

category international | rights, freedoms and repression | other press author Thursday January 23, 2014 15:43author by Carl M. Report this post to the editors

This interview with Yassamine Mather from Hands Off the People of Iran appears on the BBC Persian Service . The broadcast coincides with the third year of the Arab Spring .

Iran is not part of the Arab world but its regime , despite the softening of some of its positions and its recent public overtures to Western governments , remains threatened by the peoples' revolutionary wave that has swept dictators from entrenched positions of power across the region. The interview with the leading Iranian expert and exiled opponent of the Islamic regime originally featured as part of the BBC Persian service's End of the Year Analysis Programme
