In the 10 minute video Murphy is asked about the imperialist, capitalist and militarist nature of the EU
One comes away from the weekend conference asking Questions is the EU really something I want my country to be part of ?

website link to interview with Filipe Ferreira Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation and the World Peace Council
Filipe traveled to Dublin to make a presentation in the Pearse Centre at the Conference entitled The EU - The Military Dimension
Filipe Ferreira’s paper at the Conference simply blew open apart the myth that the EU is a force for peace in the World. He regaled us with facts and figures regarding the growth of the war industry in the EU, and his anecdotal tales from his trip to war-torn Syria illuminated a situation that is far more complex than the simple narrative we receive from the mainstream press: the “goodies” (united coalition of “rebels”) versus the “baddy” (the power-hungry, brutal, authoritarian leader)
