The NHS says informed consent requires us to be given all the information about what a treatment involves. When Dr Zoë Harcombe tried to get this info on the Covid vaccine, however, she received nothing but obfuscation.

Given the massive amount of woke bureaucracy imposed on NHS organisations by the Department of Health, it's hardly surprising that the hiring of DEI staff has been one of the fastest growing areas in our failing NHS.

"CO2 is not a bad gas," says Prof Valentina Zharkova, "the world actually needs more." The climate is instead driven by the Sun, argues the Astrophysicist. "Expect the next 30 years to get colder."

UCD Lunchtime Talk on Gaza – Thur 29th @ 1pm (Dr Vincent Durac & Dr David Landy)

category dublin | anti-war / imperialism | event notice author Monday November 26, 2012 01:24author by Elric Report this post to the editors

You are invited to a lunchtime talk and discussion on the recent Israeli attack on Gaza. The meeting will take place on Thursday 29th November from 1pm to 2pm in Theatre M in the Newman Building in UCD.

The meeting will look at the recent 8 day assault on Gaza by the Israeli military - which left at least 160 Palestinians and 5 Israeli citizens dead, and saw hundreds of others wounded – and discuss the conflict in terms of both local and regional geopolitical developments: upcoming Israeli elections; the Arab Spring; the drive for war with Iran; the political de-isolation of Hamas; the Palestinian UN statehood bid, etc. It will also look at what the offensive meant in terms of human and civil suffering.

There will also be discussion of what people can do on a grassroots, international, level to help secure a just and lasting peace in the region.

The speakers will be:

Dr. Vincent Durac of the UCD School of Politics and International Relations and author of many books on the Middle East, including Civil Society and Democratization in the Arab World: The Dynamics of Activism ( 2010) the upcoming Introduction to Middle East Politics (2013)

and

Dr. David Landy of the Trinity College Department of Sociology and author of Jewish Identity and Palestinian Rights: Diaspora Jewish Opposition to Israel (2011). Dr. Landy is also a member of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

This is a public meeting and all are welcome.

The meeting takes place on 29th November, which is the International Day of Solidarity With the Palestine People.

Is there any chance that some participant at this conference could post a summary of the event?

Or even better - a video/transcript/audio of the speakers at the event?

Would be much appreciated by those of us [i.e.: me] unable to attend

yer average modern mobile phone has recording facilities for both audio and video these days, or so I'm reliably informed by my local tech guru

so perhaps one of the attendees that would be also Indymedia reader/contributors might see thier way to securing at the very least an audio recording of the various speaker's presentations?

uploading such a recording here should not be much of a problem . . . . I hope. (failing that there's a bun ch of free file hosting sotes out there to which one could upload an audio file of the event and post a link here)

Thanks in advance should anyone eventually act on my request.
