A crazy man addressed the United Nations yesterday, he seemed to believe that Iran posed a nuclear threat to world peace. He appeared unaware of Israels possession of up to 400 nuclear warheads while Iran has zero. This crazie is threatening to plunge the Middle East into War. Full text at link.
In a bellicose speech before the United Nations Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanded a “red line” be placed on Iran’s nuclear enrichment program, outlining a plan of action that would lead to war next year, if not sooner. Employing a crude cartoon drawing of a bomb with a lit fuse, Netanyahu said that action to physically destroy Iran’s nuclear program would have to take place before the uranium enrichment process began its final stage, which he claimed would happen around the spring or summer of 2013. “The hour is getting late, very late,” he declared. The Israeli prime minister compared the Iranian government to Al Qaeda, placing the two within the framework of “a fanatic ideology bent on world domination.” He added, “It makes little differences whether these lethal weapons are in the hands of the world’s most dangerous terrorist regime, or the world’s most dangerous terrorist organization.”
Speaking as the head of state for a government that, in close alliance with the United States, is responsible for military aggression throughout the Middle East and beyond, and is engaged in a brutal occupation of Palestine, Netanyahu said that Israel “cherishes peace.” Israel currently has a stockpile of some 400 nuclear warheads and has refused to submit to international inspections.

Iran has once again warned Israel and its allies that if they attack, they will not survive. "We vow our enemies will not survive," an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, ISNA news agency quotes Gen. Farzad Esmaili, head of Iran’s Air Defense, as saying. Nuclear research sites are an emblem of pride for Iran, Esmaili says, adding that "we will defend our dignity with our lives and blood." The remarks came a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to convince the world that Iran might have enough enriched uranium to build a nuclear weapon by next summer. He urged the UN General Assembly to draw a "red line" for the Iranian nuclear program. Tehran insists that its atomic research is for peaceful purposes.

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has demanded that the UN Security Council censure countries that participated in the murders of four Iranian nuclear scientists, according to AFP. The statement was made at the UN General Assembly meeting. Iran has accused the US and Israel of staging the killings. The US has denied the claims since 2010, and Israel has refused to confirm or deny its involvement. Selehi also spoke out against cyber-attacks on his country's atomic research, saying that Iran had been a victim of “nuclear terrorism.” Washington and Tel Aviv were behind a computer virus that temporarily crippled uranium enrichment at Iran's Natanz plant.
