Special Screening - Even the Rain (También la Lluvia) Irish Premiere
Lighthouse Cinema, Smithfield
Sunday 3rd June, 5.00pm

LASC in conjunction with the Light House Cinema and Bolivia Information Forum, is proud to announce that we will host the Irish premiere of Even the Rain (También la Lluvia).

Writer Paul Laverty will attend the premiere on June 3rd, and take part in a Q&A after the film.

Screening is planned for the 100 seater cinema so we would advise booking online early, as we expect tickets for this event to sell out quickly. Tickets are available online direct from the Light House website http://www.lighthousecinema.ie/article.php?sec=NEWS&_ai...=1250

Directed by Icíar Bollaín (Mataharis, Take My Eyes) and written by Paul Laverty (The Wind That Shakes the Barley, The Angels' Share), Even the Rain follows a Spanish film crew who travel to Bolivia to shoot a controversial epic about Christopher Columbus' conquests in the New World. Meanwhile in Cochabamba, Bolivia, local people rise up in protest against plans to privatize the water supply. These two events coincide to deliver 'a cutting, self-critical analysis of their medium while finding an honest and effective perspective on history' (**** Time Out)
