2 electroshocking utility lines,
3. acid rain from coalfired utilities
4 war zone bombs,
5 shotguns (senators bought by the hunter lobby who introduce bills to remove protection..)
6 bulldozers removing their homes, drying up their marshes,
7 oil spills weighting down their feathers
8 barbed wire
9 traps from nonhunter birdeaters
10 USDA and EU avicidal sprays,
11. water poisoned by insecticides, oil, arsenic, chromium, pcb's, pbb's ad infinitum
12. barbed wire
13. choking on plastic\

So many of our leaders have little respect for their fellow human beings, so it is not surprising that little value is placed on the protection of bird life, or indeed any living beings.  The so called sport of killing hares is just one example of the local 'leaderships' contribution.
