news report
Tuesday September 13, 2011 16:30 by Eireann - Coalition Against the Fur Trade Ireland
Tazetta Fur in Glenties murders around 50,000 Mink for the fur industry every year. They are kept in tiny cages and subject to horrific pain and suffering simply for fashion. Around 20 activists visited the Farm on the 12th September to Protest against their continued killing. Sven Sjholm the owner of the Farm has no morals whatsoever this farm was exposed less than two years ago carrying out horrific acts and for a practice so environmentally damaging and so morally bankrupt to be allowed in Ireland in the 21st Century is quite unacceptable. Especially when Irelands neighbouring countries have all moved to ban fur farming due to the cruelty involved. Activists stayed for about an hour talking to local people and giving out information. |
