- Explore that experience and how to use it as a springboard for continuing their involvement in working for a better world;
- Continue to support those they have met and worked with while overseas;
- Consider how to make lifestyle choices based on their principles and values;
- Learn about development work happening in Ireland;
- Network and share experiences with others.

The Mayo News carries a report that Rose Conway Walsh has condemned the imprisonment of Pat O'Donnell. The Erris fisherman has been jailed for seven months for supposedly obstructing a garda during an incident in which over sixty other people were involved. Many people have speculated that the gardaí picked on him becasue of his long track record of opposition to the Corrib Gas project.

The Sinn Féin Councillor also talks about the methods of documentary maker Gerry Gregg, calling his TV3 documentary she said had "done nothing but divide the community". read full story / add a comment

Eoin O'Leidhin has joined fisherman Pat 'the Chief' O'Donnell at Castlerea prison today. Eoin was convicted of Section 8 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act 1994 for 'failure to comply with the directions of Garda' at a protest outside the Shell site Glengad on 30th August 2008.

Garda Sean Cunnane, who likes to ham it up as he whinges to the courts, convinced Judge David Anderson that Eoin's behaviour was a crime.

As part of its recently launched ‘Different Name – Same Aim’ campaign éirígí is to hold an anti-PSNI protest outside of the British Embassy in Dublin at 2pm on Saturday, February 27th. The protest follows on the back of a similar protest in west Belfast on Monday last (February 8) which was attended by more than fifty people. (Opposing British Repression)
