Commenting, Fintan Lane, national coordinator of the Irish Ship to Gaza Campaign and a member of the Free Gaza Movement, said: "This Israeli air strike is an outrage and an unacceptable act of violence against a civilian population. If this happened anywhere else, there would be calls for a UN no-fly-zone. If the international community is seriously concerned about the people of Gaza, an Israeli withdrawal should be immediately demanded and we should seriously consider the exclusion of Israeli military aircraft from Gazan airspace. A no-fly zone is needed over Gaza to ensure the safety of the civilian population." |

Jump To Comment: 1 2Israeli tanks were active along the 'border' today, which is a regular event and part of the ongoing siege. They move a few hundred yards in. Seems they also shelled into Gaza at one point.
Time to demand a No-Fly Zone over gaza. While its topical. Indiscriminate military force against civilian polulations.
Maybe some of those presidential candidates would be prepared to put the head over the parapet.
I wouldn't be waiting for Minister Shatter to take any inimical initiatives.
