Feb 23 Solidarity Protest with Libyan People

category dublin | miscellaneous | event notice author Wednesday February 23, 2011 12:54author by Michael Bauthor phone 0872734187 Report this post to the editors

3pm - 5pm Opposite GPO O'Connell Street Dublin

3pm - 5pm Opposite GPO, O'Connell Street, Dublin

Members of the Libyan Community in Ireland have organised a number of protests in Dublin, and are desperately hoping for support at their protests. They are asking people to come today as people are being massacred in Libya.

The Libyan Community are taking great risks in organising these protests, while people in Libya are taking greater risks still.

There has been negligible support to date from Irish community, due probably to elections, but if you are able please try to get involved.

There will be another protest this saturday at 3pm, also outside the GPO. Please try to get the word out.
