Film showing this Thursday 26th of August Naomi Kleins " the take"

This thursday 26th of August naomi kleins excellent film "the take" will be shown upstairs in Richardson's bar Eyre square Galway at 8pm . Admission is free and all are welcome. The film concentrates on the heroic struggle of Argentine workers who refused to lay down and accept that there jobs were gone following the collapse of the economy in the early part of the last decade, through a series of factory occupations and coordinated protest movements these workers not only succeeded in saving there jobs but they also maintained profitable businesses without the need of the former managerial structures or owners . There are many vital lesions to be learned from their experience that have a direct connection to the situation many people have dealt with in recent times here in ireland . Hope to see you there
