Sex sells, says Lee Taylor, and that is something many brands, caught up in the joyless theatre of modern virtue-signalling, could well stand to relearn.

The Red Cross is paying for the families of hundreds of migrants granted asylum to relocate to Britain. Confronted about this by the Telegraph, Yvette Cooper blamed the Tories. Shock!

Otis lift Strikers going up!

category national | worker & community struggles and protests | news report author Wednesday July 14, 2010 15:21author by Trade Union TVauthor email tradeuniontv at gmail dot com Report this post to the editors

On Bastille Day, Otis workers hold a mass picket at Otis lifts head office in Bluebell.
Watch the video and hear about their dispute in their own words.

Otis lift strikers are on their third day of industrial action against their employer Otis who have chosen to impose compulsory redundancies rather than accept voluntary redundancies. Due to an injunction taken out on them at their picket in Dublin Airport TEEU members held a mass picket this morning 14th July at Otis Head office in Bluebell.

They had a hugely successful picket in Dublin Airport where Otis workers received support from other workers they had supported when they were on strike.

Trade Union TV had sought an interview with a spokesperson from Otis but no one was available to talk in Otis's Bluebell office. But according to their website: "At Otis, people are our most important asset....Otis offers a supportive environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills and talents to their fullest potential."

"Otis offers a supportive environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills and talents to their fullest potential." - well this is what every company will tell you, including when 90 % of the stuff has temporary contracts of 3 months, everybody works for 5 people with unpaid ("voluntary"...) overtime, no benefits whatsoever, creepy micromanagement which will make you sick and a salary which lets you develop rather a depression than your "full potential".
I've been working for a couple of those corporations for quite a time now and i know the difference between their propaganda and the reality cannot be greater.
There is a reason as well why you have this army of completely unproductive supervisors and similar individuals in every company. Their reason of existence is to justify the terror and to produce lies, nothing else.

Dunno about any injunction. There was a sizeable picket at the airport roundabout today at 10am. At least 30 or so. Some good support from passing motorists too.

Keep it up guys!!
