....for the 'bad' 'Related Link' above - this one gives a history of Robert Emmet and mentions the Thomas Street church.
Thanks!
Sharon.

Hi Matt !
Thanks for your support - much appreciated!
This picket has been organised by an RSF Cumann in the Liberties area which always shows its support for Republican prisoners by attending the monthly POW picket at the GPO.
Depending on how it goes , this may become a regular fixture, too.
Thanks again !
Sharon.

Are other republican groups welcome to attend to represent their respective prisoners, in the spirit of unity and solidarity for POWs?

Hi James J !
Yes , indeed , James - other groups are welcome to attend , as I stated in the first post on this thread (ie 'All Welcome!') .
And that's in the same spirit in which an open invitation exists to other republican groups to attend the monthly POW picket held at the GPO (on the second Saturday of each month - see 'Imeachtaí' column in 'Saoirse' for further details) but which , unfortunately - for a number of years, now - is an invitation yet to be accepted by any other group.
However : members and supporters of RSF will be at St Catherine's Church next Saturday , March 27th , regardless of who else shows up.
Thanks!
Sharon.

.....2 hours , and between 20 and 30 Republican supporters!

Hi !
The POW picket was held today , as advertised , outside St Catherine's Church in Thomas Street , Dublin , and all went well !
We got great support from shoppers , tourists, locals and motorists who slowed down to get a better view and to collect a few leaflets from us. Only six people refused any leaflets , when offered them...
A brief report and some pics can be viewed at the 'Related Link' below , and a full report will be published in the April 2010 issue of 'Saoirse' , which goes to print this coming Wednesday , 31st March 2010.
Thanks!
Sharon.
