Given the choice between two weak tea bags, Australia elected a weak tea bag, says Rebekah Barnett. Liberal leader Peter Dutton even lost his seat, a reflection of his hopeless deficit in personality and policies.

Boots Ireland and Mandate Trade Union reach agreement!

Republican Network for Unity in Co. Kildare have been informed by David Gibney of Mandate, that an agreement has been reached between Boots Ireland and Mandate trade Union at negotiation tables to cancel all plans of strike action. Since this dispute started over cuts been enforced on Boots employee's, RNU have been in close contact with Mandate Trade Union and offered our full support to the workers of Boots Pharmaceutical against these cuts.

David informed us today and went on to state "During the last couple of weeks, Boots Ireland and Mandate Trade Union have been meeting at the Labour Relations Commission. After lengthy discussions the parties have been able to reach agreement and recommend a set of proposals regarding changes to Boots Ireland’s employment package. These proposals will now be subject to a ballot of union members over the next couple of weeks. Accordingly, all strike action planned will not take place".

R.N.U Cill Dara will continue to support the working class people of Kildare and oppose any multi-national company such as Boots, exploiting their workers. We in R.N.U Kildare are delighted that an agreement to cancel all strike action has been made, we also believe this is a huge step forward to ending this dispute. We in RNU hope that in the coming weeks an agreement on pay suiting the working class can be reached.

Victory to the workers!!

Statement Ends.
