From Channel 4’s The True Stories strand, which showcases the best of international feature length documentaries, continues with John Webster's funny film about climate change and how he and his family coped when they tried to give up using oil for a year.

'Our Year Without Oil'

In December this year, world leaders will come together in Copenhagen to try to reach an agreement on global carbon reduction targets to help avoid catastrophic climate change.

To highlight the importance of these talks, we are hosting a special screening of the film ‘Our Year Without Oil’ and we would be delighted if you could attend.

This is a thought provoking, entertaining and hopefully inspiring film about climate change, and what it can mean for one family.

This free screening takes place on Tuesday 8th December at 7.30pm, Screen5, Movies at Dundrum, Dundrum Town Centre. Eamon Ryan will introduce the film and we hope to have a live link-up with the director John Webster in Finland for a brief questions and answers session.

Tickets are on a first come first served basis so please do try to get there early to avoid disappointment. If you need any further information please do not hesitate to get in touch with us on 01 2995513.

Eamon Ryan? Is the the guy who supported the environmental protests against the building of the Corrib Gas refinery at Ballinaboy Bridge in Mayo?

Or is the other Eamon Ryan?

Good question, is it the Green Party TD?
