> I wish to inform you of a public meeting taking place this Thursday (26th) in Richardsons eyre square Galway at 8 pm , the topic will be on "organising the fight back"(the next steps to defeating the cuts) it is hoped that this can be a progressive step to coincide with the public sector day of strike action that is happening this Tuesday(24th) and we hope to discuss a course of action that will continue the drive for a fairer way of dealing with the governments bungleing financial mismanagement and the crisis they have created .
>
> we are told by government officials and there successors in waiting that there is no other way of dealing with the current economic situation and that we must all share the pain in order to return the country to growth but it is our position that there is always another way and it is this amoung other subjects that we will be addressing this Thursday
>
> the main speaker for the evening will be Councilor Matt Wain from Castleknock in Dublin , matt was at the center of the Thomas cook occupation which saw him and the others involved being arrested for having the audacity to fight back against a profitable company who was using the recession as an excuse to lay off its work force in the hope
> of sustaining higher profits . all people , private, public and
> unemployed are welcome to what we hope will be a very interesting and eventful evening of political debate and discussion
