myself and a few friends will be there and will be proud to walk behind our national flag down o'connell street
fair play to RSF for this rally. RSF allow us all to remember our history, they are like an historical society in Ireland who always remember that what our people did decades ago must be done today. While 'others' continue to look forwards wrongly, RSF will always look backwards and be guided by those who have left us, our tradition of marching is strong!

Hi Larry !
Thanks for that - I'll see you and the kids on the day!
Hi Looking back !
Not so much "looking back" - although , politically , that in itself is no harm - as recognising that this issue is still a 'live' issue today, unfortunately.
If you "look forward" without realising where you have been , you run the risk of walking in circles.
Beir Bua agus slán go foill anois,
(and thanks again , Larry!)
Sharon.
Unfortunately, this clashes with the Stop The Cuts! No More Bail Outs! Protest! also happening on the same day, Saturday, September 19th, Starting at 1:00 PM at the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square! Now I have a very serious dilemma: which March do I go on? I know many others are going to have the same dilemma too. It's probably just unfortunate that the two equally important Events are happening on the same day at almost the same time and I suppose it's a good complaint that you have to choose which Event to attend given that up until recently there was a serious lack of any major Protests happening in Ireland!
Hi Torn Between two Marches!
It was decided today to hold the Eve Rally at 12 Noon on the same day (Saturday 19 September next) , from the Garden of Remembrance , instead of the originally advertised time in my lead post.
Apologises for this change to those who have made their arrangements based on the previously stated time , but it's for the better in the long run , as the RSF members and supporters going to the Rally all voiced concern re wanting to attend the 'Stop The Cuts!' protest as well.
And now we can!
Thanks!
Sharon.
best of luck to all who are going to both of these - good idea for rsf in changing the time , fair play for that
i'll be at the rally with a few mates and then we're gonna take part in the protest
hope they both get the big crowd they deserve
Hi Larry !
Both events do deserve a big turnout and all the RSF supporters and members will be going straight from the Eve Rally to the protest , so we'll probably meet up again at some point on Saturday .
See you then , Larry - thanks!
Sharon.
Hi !
A brief report and five photographs of the Eve of All-Ireland Rally held today (Saturday 19th September 2009) can be viewed at the 'Related Link' below.
A full report with more photographs will be published in the October 2009 issue of 'SAOIRSE' , which goes to print on the 30th of this month.
Thanks!
Sharon.
Na Fianna Éireann at the Eve of All-Ireland Rally , Dublin , 19th September 2009.

The march went well yesterday. It is a pity both marches clashed on the same day. Good speakers.
Our country sure needs a change of moral conscience.
I met a friend of yours setting up the stage.
Scorpio and dogged
Hi Scorpio and Dogged !
It did indeed go well on the day - although the change of time did affect the turnout , I think.
The speakers , Pat and Fergal , are both 'old hands' at delivering speeches and are very confident at doing so at street level (especially as Pat knew they had the match in the bag!) .
And you're right about the poor state of our collective moral conscience - people seem to have just practically given up ?
My friend at the stage area whom you would have been talking to , I think ,would have been either Andy , Paddy or John , as those three were 'seconded' to that particular job - myself and five others were on 'leaflet duties' , and we were very busy at same , which is a good sign.
Thank You for the comment !
Sharon.
