The Online Safety Act is a Censor?s Charter Wed Jul 30, 2025 13:00 | Andrew Doyle
We were assured by Conservative and Labour politicians that the Online Safety Act was designed to protect children. In the last few days, its real, more sinister purpose has become, writes Andrew Doyle.

Trump Was Right to Skewer Starmer Over Britain?s ?Windmills Scam? Wed Jul 30, 2025 07:00 | Ben Pile
Trump was right to skewer Starmer over Britain's "windmills scam" when he met him in Scotland this week, says Ben Pile. It was a cringefest worthy of The Office, but Starmer can't afford to ignore the President?s warning.

Hi Derek!
Thanks for that - much appreciated . See you and your friends on the day , Derek !
The two main speakers at the event will be Pat Garvey (Kerry) and Richard Walsh (Derry) .
Let's hope they bring a dry spell with them !
Thanks!
Sharon.
best of luck on this, i am unable to attend but hopefully a good few reading this who are able will do the right thing and stop by and show their support for political prisoners in both the 6 and 26. Thanks RSF for helping make their plight more known.
How many convicted IRA killers were set free long before their prison term was up? Have you no shame in getting trying to get more freed?
Hi Mishta!
Nice to know that you'll be there in spirit with us - I hope to have a brief report and a few photographs of the rally on this thread tomorrow night , with links to more of same .
Thanks again!
Hi Paddy !
I think you're missing the main reason why this Rally is held , and has been held for over 50 years : to highlight the reality that Ireland is a 32-County nation, which is partitioned and occupied by Britain. The essential unity of the Irish nation is symbolised in the All-Ireland football and hurling finals each year.
The sooner the better that events like this are no longer required but , until then , republicans will continue to try and keep the issue 'on the front page'.
Thanks!
Sharon.
Hi !
The Annual Eve Of All-Ireland Rally was held today in O'Connell Street , Dublin , in blazing sunshine .
A brief report and eight pics can be seen on the 'Related Link' below and three more pics can be seen here -
http://11sixtynine.blogsome.com/2008/09/20/eve-of-all-i...same/
- three other pics are published with this post . The day was a great success for the organisers , with the republican message delivered verbally and in print to many thousands of people.
Thanks!
Sharon.
Political Status Banner on O'Connell Street , Dublin.
Pat Garvey , Kerry , speaking at the Eve Rally.
Richard Walsh, Derry , speaking at the Eve Rally.
Yet another well run and very well organised rally,
The sun on our backs Marching down O'Connell street (although i heard one of the lads complaining about the bus nearly hitting us at one stage) it felt proud to march down our city centre's main street.
With a strong crowd already being held by our warm-up speaker at the G.P.O. it was a great sight to see so many young people gathered to listen to the speakers.
Even the non-welcome presence of special branch didnt even dampen the spirits of RSF members or supporters.
We will be carrying a report on our website also,
Hi Peter!
The event went well - great to see the National Flag being carried , held and displayed through our capital city in a republican demonstration .
I was one of those tasked with leafleting the crowds - hundreds of leaflets were distributed - and dozens of copies of 'Saoirse' were sold at the Rally .
It was a well organised and worthwhile exercise.
Thanks!
Sharon.
that rally on saturday went great
it really did the business and for about 2 hours the republican issue was very well represnted in the middle of dublin town
fantastic to see the tricolour and a good solid bunch of republicans in the city center
congrats to all concerned
Hi again, Derek!
Thanks for that comment - appreciated!
The event went better than we hoped it would , thanks to the generous supporters and , of course , the weather.
Thanks again!
Sharon.
