Debunking the BBC?s Claim That Pakistan?s Floods Are Made Worse by Climate Change Fri Nov 21, 2025 09:00 | Paul Homewood
If the BBC's Standards Committee, which is reviewing the corporation's coverage of climate change, wants a good example of bias, it should take a look at its report of recent floods in Pakistan, says Paul Homewood.

Judges Need Fewer Powers, Not More Thu Nov 20, 2025 19:00 | Will Jones
The Hillsborough Law is well-intentioned, but its effect will be to transfer yet more power from Parliament to unelected judges ? the opposite of what is needed to restore public trust and democratic accountability.

The LÉaving of Orla!
Shell's War-Boat fleet - Orla and Aoife
Check out this article from today's Irish Independent website. It covers the change of Shell War-Boats in Broadhaven Bay yesterday, and includes denial from 'the Naval Service' that S2S/RSC kayakers had seen the Orla off. No nice photo on the article on the website; we got to about 30m of Orla when she ran off - pity!
Link is displayed below
..and Pat is certainly one of them! Once again the IDM shows up the so-called native media - though the S2S campaign and anyone who's involved in defending Erris and Ireland's natural resources would disagree with the IDM's editorial slant these days, but what the hell, the mainstream media are never going to tell the whole truth about the Great Gas Robbery - unless they're forced to!
Picture from Monday's Irish Daily Mail - Pat O'Donnell buzzing Shell War-Boat Orla
Pat 'the Chief' back at the scene of his act of defiance - thumbs up!
More power to the Chief and Shell to Sea! We will never surrender!
Well done to all involved. Nice one Pat!
It's time for people to get back down to Broadhaven /Rossport. This time in their 1,000's!!

Brilliant this is great news, we all knew the irish navy were shrinking violets, this only proves they are. We should get every thing that floats rubber dingys and block the bay. God help the yanks if the Iraqis find out that rubber dinghys can chase away a prtrol boat!!
Fair play ,Wish i could join you.
this kind of action on the sea must be a first .Most people now have lost faith in all the political parties .Look at the Greens, they stood shoulder to shoulder with the locals before the election swearing that things would change if only they were in office .No one in their right mind will EVER vote for the greens again .So whats left for the ordinary people...Anarchy?
WOW well done I'm utterly and completely astonished by the courage and resilience of the shell to sea protestors against massive odds - beir bua folks!!
krossie
I presume this big talk would have dissapeared pretty fast if the Orla had run a vessel under the waves? They did the right thing and withdrew, or did you WANT a martyre?
We've come close a few times already. Whether or not it'll happen depends on if the Green Party continues to endorse the violence of the guards, or not.
