DUNNES STORES! ITS GOOD TO BULLY Have just found out that Dunnes STORE staff, Ballvolane, will strike in Cork near Christmas because several staff have been bullied by some senior management. STAFF' I was not suprised to discover that the General manager was the same one that I worked under some years ago. PS. He is not a bully. I complained that a rear fire exit was blocked and had a door slammed in ny face which nealry broke my nose. I also had legal minutes teared up in front of my face. I picketed the shop for one day handing our hundreds of leaflets. I wrote a letter to the same manager. Chris Murphy telling him of the intimidation and bullying I suffered, I also informed Seamus Brennan TD of the issue of fire safety-he did nothing. I fully support the action of these workers, it is about time the culture of bullying changed in Dunnes stores. I would ask the people of Cork not to cross the picket line on the day of this strike. DON'T LET THE BULLYS WIN. EVERYONE HAS THE BASIC RIGHT TO WORK IN A BULLY FREE ENVIRONMENT> DUNNES STORES NEW MOTTO SHOULD BE' ITS GOOD TO BULLY . If this ever happened again I would not go through the union I would go straight to the garda as intimidation is intimidation whatever the source. I do regret not doing this at the time. I do not like bully's but only showing human dignity and not becoming a bully to bully the bullys are the way forward. |
