Weekly kids / parents group in Seomra Spraoi

category dublin | miscellaneous | event notice author Sunday September 23, 2007 18:40author by Laurence Cox Report this post to the editors

Weekly kids / parents group in Seomra Spraoi

Anti-authoritarian kids / parents group

Each Sunday, 3 to 5 pm
Seomra Spraoi (4 Mary's Abbey, on the Luas tracks, just off Capel St., grey door on the right, just opposite Gary Rhodes restaurant.)

Whether you are a parent or parent-to-be, work with kids or just take an interest, come along to a friendly space where we share looking after the children and can talk about kids, alternative ways to practice parenting, organise childcare, and relate to education.
We've been meeting weekly over the summer (8 Sundays so far, with just one skipped!). We're hoping to have more regular discussions in one room, with some of us looking after the kids in the next room, starting next Sunday (29th). Beyond that, we've been talking about the possibility of even longer-term projects around childcare / education.

Bring the kids (any age!) if you have them, and non-sugary snacks to share. You can also join the email discussion group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AAkids/
