offsite link Taxpayers Are Charged for the BBC Whether They Like it or Not Sat Nov 22, 2025 11:00 | Charlotte Gill
It's bad enough that all UK TV users are forced to fund the BBC via a TV licence. But it's worse than that, says Charlotte Gill: millions of pounds of taxpayers' money are handed to the corporation via backdoor channels.

World Kindness Day may have passed you by. But it won't have passed by your children, whose school will have been sure to teach that climate action and open borders are essential elements of 'kindness', says Steven Tucker.

Read what happened when an Extinction Rebellion meeting was disrupted by a protester. Seems they can give it out but have no intention of putting up with it themselves.

Sick My Duck
Short road movie bout a kid who love art, goes up and down looking for what is art and for what he's doing it while facing his surrounding where art is for sale. He believe that art is not the mirror on the wall which reflect reality, but a spraycan and stencils which to vandalise the reality of life and this believes leads to how "Frank Sinatra" turn the kid to "monster".

Wellcome to Taringbabi
Documentary about an indonesian Punk collective.
Since the 1990s in Indonesia has grown a huge and very lively punk scene: gigs with thousands of people, plenty of bands playing all kinds
of punk und a network of labels, distros and collectives. The film wants to give an impression about Taringbabi („wildpigs teeth“), a
Jakarta-located punk collective, as an example of this scene. It is a place where a group of 6-10 punks have been living together, working
collectively and doing activism for 10 years (!). So, see and listen yourself what punk means for the Taringbabi-members: Is it about music?
About style? About politics? What are they living of? And... what does a
concert look like?

Tragedi Kampung Berembang
Berembang is (or rather we should say was) one of Kaula Lumpurs few remaining squatted village established in the 1960's by urban pioneers encouraged to 'reclaim the land' by the Malaysian Governement. In these villages strong communities have developed a heart in the city in stark contrast to the commercial & soul-less developments much heraladed as totems to Malaysia's economic development.

Residents in Kampung are the latest victims of the Selangor state government’s 2005 “Zero Squatter” policy. The policy has destroyed homes of urban pioneers without providing alternative housing. In the last six months the villagers have been eradicated from their homes 5 times. The Kampung has been fenced off leaving villagers with no choice but to camp on the side of the road.

Kampung Residents continue to fight for their rights & are determined to save their homes. Court cases are ongoing. Project Kampung Seni is a project run by Lost Generation, Food Not Bombs, & other individuals & works with the residents of Kampung to document their struggle.
