NRA Conference on M3

On Thursday the 30th August the NRA are conferencing at the Gresham Hotel
at 9.30am. This is on the M3 archaelogy. Most campaigners know by now that
the Shindig is a regular one (part of the PR campaigns) and has been occuring
at least these last two years.

Therefore banners welcome. if you want to go the civilian route and sit in on the conference
(in case of the rain or noise) there is usually a ticket hotline available!

This is a general call-out to activists. The conference is a part of Heritage Week
and the usual methodologies of showing the photos of the digs and finds
pervails.

The NRA do employ security at their conferences and have removed people, I note that
they have not advertised their M3 conference on their site:-
http://www.nra.ie

but have a disclaimer on the EU Petitions Comm.

The retained Planning and Construction Guidelines incl. the Margaret Gowen
Module on planning and carrying out the EIS and the statement that the NRA
does not change route after EIS (which subverts at least two legislations
has found a legal home).

John Gormley has a big clean up to do on provision of protection for Heritage legislations
and we should be questioning how an unelected lobby with a profit-making M.O
is allowed to subvert out legislations while protestors are both brutalised and criminalised
by the state.

pesky fecking things, ask the other groups who are juggling ..
The NRA conference is an all day dealy, but leafleting the suits is early morning. You will recognise
'em by the little bags (and lack of camera, tape, wires). you will recognise the security by
camera, tapes and wires...

[bestest thing to do with attending is to have some questions prepared.
The security system is not generally owned by the hotel but employed by the NRA and
they have ejected me a few times, this was always remedied by appeal to the mangement
of the venue]
