CELT at Scariff Harbour Festival

Traditional skills demonstrations

CELT craftsmen had prime position in Scariff Square as part of Scariff Harbour Festival over the weekend of 4th / 5th August. Thousands of visitors attended and there was great interest in the CELT traditional skills demonstrations which included Mark Wilson (Coppersmith), Stuart Fernie (Pole-lathe Wood Turning), Peter Collins (Blacksmith), Andrew St.Ledger (Wood Carving), Del Harding (Canoe building display) and Peter Sheahan (Basket Weaving).

Learn a new skill, or improve on an existing one -

Next CELT event is the Weekend in the Woods on 6th / 7th October 2007 with a choice from up to 19 different courses on offer. Full details are on the website (see link below) - also on-line booking - but remember to send in your course fee payment to confirm your booking.

The event takes place at Bealkelly Wood, Tuamgraney, Co.Clare (2 miles south of Tuamgraney on the Killaloe road). Free camping is available to course participants and good food, snacks, drinks available on site at reasonable cost.
