Making Sense of Trump?s Tariffs Fri May 02, 2025 13:00 | Ramesh Thakur
There's method in Trump's tariff madness, says Ramesh Thakur. Uniting his America First, anti-Net Zero and anti-DEI policies is an imperative to untangle the US from strategic dependence on an ascendant China.

Critical Mass Pubic Meeting Report
http://indymedia.ie/article/83493
Whilst I applaud any effort to get people to cycle as opposed to using cars etc, I'm not sure holding up traffic is the way forward. I know that's not the purpose here (I think) but it serves no purpose. There is no way to make drivers more conscious or respecting of cyclists...ignorant/obnoxious people are ignorant/obnoxious not because they're in a car but because they're that way anyway. You'll never rid society of such people.
It takes a lot to encourage people to take to the streets on bicycles above cars. I cycle to work - a distance of about 7-8 miles - but if there wasn't showers in my office, I wouldn't be cycling in. Cycle lanes help as well and they're becoming more plentiful at least.
Here's some pics from todays ride, the group was small but hopefully can grow from here, My first ride of this kind and glad I participated,

Is there a ride next month? If so what is being done to promote it in order to boost attendance?
did anyone do the council bike ride, did anyone tell those people about CM, did anyone talk with or check out how and why budapest worked??
hope CM grows for yez
So is that it from Critical Mass? I've been looking for a post in upcoming events... nothing. looked for info on other sites and around town...nothing. Ah well there's always next year
Looks like thats it. Depsite all the talk + ideas about last month, the (sparsely populated) ride still just went around the city centre, albeit on a different route that hadnt been done before. Nothing new then = the reason it died in the first place.
