For the record, wish to advise that, as per title of post, McGrath's Transport DO NOT work for Shell.

The only reason Corduffs have got any work from Shell is because they happen to have the same surname as Willie - it was a calculated and deliberate move by Shell to create the confusion evident in some posts.

For the information of readers two Corduff buses go on site each morning, usually with a handful of people on board each one; then one of those buses comes out to do a school run; typical of Shell skullduggery - if blocked going in, 'workers' denied the right to work on a site which is part of a project without full permissions; if blocked coming out, children denied the right of transport to school.

Such a clever strategy think the Shell s****!

On the way home we encountered Eamon O Cuiv getting in some very, very early electioneering on an audiance of primary kids in a small school very close to the camp.

Taking our rent a mob duties seriously we decamped and got the protest going again. Have protest will travel!

(By the way in answer to a comment some where there are 2 coach companies up in Eris: Mc graths and Corduffs up there and they work for both Shell and ourselves or any one that gives them money (as far as I know???)

- That said the Mc Graths bus driver was most sound on the Dublin bus - beir bua!)

..we remain aware that this struggle has years ahead of it. This has been only the latest in a continuing series of direct actions here carried out by local and national campaigners. To achieve meaningful change, we must risk much, even perhaps our bodies and lives. To think that change can come from petitioning those complicit in the misery and oppression you feel has been one of the chief tools the few use to make slaves of the many, and a delusion best dispelled for the sake of the hope that future generations (and ourselves too!) will live in a better world. Shell to Sea! In a lead-lined coffin!

It could be Cowley or Garavan. They're cut from the same cloth. Also neither are actually local but both are constantly critical of 'outsiders'. It is mostly from their comments that the media decided there was a conflict between locals and nonlocals. Garavan's comments yesterday weren't exactly helpful either.

Well done all! I would love to be there - hoping to get to Erris soon if I'm spared !
I think it was Jerry Cowley (who may have to keep his 'respectable' face on; that's how it goes in politics alas) that was being criticised in the foregoing comments & not Mark Garavan.
Keep on keeping on there!

I agree with davitt when he says (Particularly important coming on the back of the decision by the very same person who blackmailed the campaign into cancelling the protest to run for elected office.)
our leader seems to have lost his nerve (anyone see him this morning?)
We need someone who is local and brave, and will not give in to pressure from the state/pigs.

Great work today. Couldn't make it myself unfortunately. Great to see non-violent direct action back on track in Rossport after the stupidity of cancelling the Nov mobilisation. Particularly important coming on the back of the decision by the very same person who blackmailed the campaign into cancelling the protest to run for elected office.

If this campaign is to be won we need to continually step it up until it reaches a point that the government can't ignore.

The only question I have is when is the next Day of Support?
