Dublin Brigade INLA statement

INLA put claims of drugs to bed....

A Chairde,

“Despite the social nature of tonight’s event, we must allow some serious thought and reflection about the brave man, we have come here to commemorate tonight, Patrick “Paddy Bo” Campbell. Patrick’s young life was taken nine years ago whilst he was combating drug criminal elements here in Dublin. It was a dangerous position that he put himself into, but when asked, Patrick didn’t flinch. He showed a tenacity and selflessness that should inspire us all.

The media had a field day with his death, concocting half-truths and sensationalist headlines such as INLA criminal gangs clash in turf war. Let me make it absolutely clear to everyone, that such gutter press headlines were and are utter nonsense. Let me make it clear, Patrick Campbell was no criminal; we in the RSM are not criminals.

Let those in high places, those terrified of the politics we organize around be told, that it is them that are the criminals, not us. It is their greedy capitalistic policies that are feeding the crime and social cancers in our society, not us and our vision of a Socialist Republic. They are the sickness ….. We are the cure. They are the past and we are the future.

There are those parasite scumbags in Dublin purporting to be members of the INLA; needless to say they are not members of our movement. They use the tag of the INLA as a flag of convenience, to line there own pockets, but be perfectly clear, those same scumbags are not volunteers, and let them be forewarned, they will reap a harvest of retribution at a time and place of our choosing.

So lets raise a glass tonight for our fallen Comrade Patrick Campbell, and from tonight, lets show extra commitment to the socialist struggle and make ours and Patrick’s dreams of a better future, more of a reality.

STATEMENT ENDS

Fair play to the INLA who continue to put scum like drug dealers out of business, their galant name sould never be allowed to be used by scumbags like dealers,ONWARDS TO VICTORY,SAOIRSE GO DEO

Your obviuosly a middle class shelthered nobody who gets his info from British owned rags such as the Sunday World, and reads books written by semi-illeterate,pro-British/freestate,careerists,
The comments you have made are straight ot have of ''crimelords'',the exact propaganda of the Gaurds that the statement was written to discredit, and put the record straight,

Those incidents if you have expert knowledge about INLA drug dealers,go to the RSM and explain this info, even go to your police, the Garda, and you'll be laughed at,all lies and half truths,

The fact is and always will be that the INLA is a revolutionary Army, fiercely anti-drugs,and that its only half witted gobshite drug dealers who use the name to threaten fellow drug dealers,

If you want to make serious allegations here, please use fact and not fiction from gutter press British owned paper and stupid books.

First time I've heard of a ''Ballymount INLA''.

From my understanding, the action carried out was a botched punishment attack on a gang of drug criminals, much like the INLA and IRA would have done in the six counties during the conflict. However news reporters and the media in general would like to portray things differently. Much like the situation we have in Rossport today.

It should also be remembered that another INLA member and anti-drugs activist John Morris was murdered by State Forces ten years ago.

if the inla is so anti drugs you might tell some of your top lads in the south inner city to stop hanging around with drug dealers then or are they just trying to show them the error of there ways

"So lets raise a glass" sez the masked man (dude, that whole homemade paramilitary look is soooooo last millennium!). So the drug alcohol is grand, despite the damage that it does to our society - much more than any "drug" menace that the tabloids' "half-truths and sensationalist headlines" have been filling your empty little heads with. "Such gutter press headlines were and are utter nonsense", and muppets like you who are trying to prop up "greedy capitalistic policies" of drinks companies "that are feeding the social cancers" have obviously missed the point. Totally. Unsurprisingly. I prefer other drugs to alcohol. And some loser in a Hallowe'en outfit and the pants his Mammy ironed for him ain't gonna tell me what's what. Run along now before I get cross. And learn to spell.

This is the IRSP/INLA who had threatening posters in Dublins inner-city a couple of years ago TELLING people to go to a picket outside Mountjoy Prison.

"Be there. No excuses." were the exact words on the poster.

I would like to spell out the exact words in which I feel describe the gang/***** but I feel the indymedia moderators might edit them.

Will you? I can spell them out.

Does the statement from the IRSP today apply to you lads or are you going to continue your campaign in Dublin. Mary Reid was an active member of the IRSP in Dublin in the 70s. It was the time of the Train robbery and the death of Seamus Costello. The reality is that your war ended with the death of Costello. Your leaders after him did not promote his vision or hold his principles. Mary Reid died in January 2003 , in my opinion at the hands of former INLA members. She was a committed republican socialist - why did she die and is it now possible that the truth about the killing of Mary Reid will be revealed ?

Well done to everyone who has campaigned against drugs including the IRSP and INLA, although such a campaign should never have to result in someone's death.

Personally, I am sick to death of seeing drugged-up zombie kids walking around in a blur around the streets of Dublin.

If there are people flooding places with drugs, then I blame the consumers of these toxic drugs. How stupid are people, everyone knows these drugs are toxic and highly addictive and could kill you - people need to wise-up and stop buying these drugs and enter treatment programmes. If sufficient people stopped taking these drugs, then we would eventually see healthy youngsters in the city, rather than the emaciated half dead zombie like kids I see wandering aimlessly around Dublin city centre.

There will always be an illegal drugs business in Ireland as long as there is a strong demand for them and a continuous supply of fools stupid enough to buy them. If you really want a society without drugs, then kids young and old alike need to wise-up and take responsibility, and regurgitate those drugs back-up to the drug barons - stop buying them, they will then, eventually, go out of business, le cúnamh Dé!

It is not a good idea at all to be naming people here and their friends - please refrain from doing so - the undertakers in Dublin are cleaning up at the moment.

p.s. What happened to Mary Reid?

author by Redundant Republicanpublication date Sun Jan 17, 2010 18:56author address author phone Report this post to the editors

It appears that Mary Reid may have discovered that funding for social projects in Derry had been taken in control by IRSP/INLA members and were being used for personal gain. Mary was a socialist, republican of the highest integrity and this activity would have been unacceptable to her. Mary Reid worked in Derry city, she was last seen alive at 10am leaving the Rosemont centre on 29 January 2003. Her body was found on an isolated beach in County Donegal at 5.30 that evening. The garda identified 2 suspects for Mary's death and both had links to the IRSP/INLA in Derry over many years.

Is there any member of this group of gangsters prepared to confirm that derry INLA legend Tommy Mc Court was involved in the abduction and death of Mary Reid in January 2003. In my opinion he has been an agent of the crown for decades and that was the reason Mary Reid's murder went without investigation. Check up on him lads.
