Flyer to distribute to the unaware at marches and other Oaxaca solidarity actions.
I was not able to upload typeset flyer, but below are the photos & text used if you want to use any. On the 8 x 10 flyer, the six photos [Ireland imc has only 4] from around the world are smaller than they appear here, about 1.5 x 1.5. The flyer includes a 3.5 x 5 photo of the girl confronting the PFP (Policia Federal Preventiva, Mexican Federal Riot Police), and a separate large poster was made just with her photo and the legend:

Photos from around the world were taken in front of Mexican Embassies or Consulates between 10/29 & 11/3/2006. Reports & photographs of worldwide actions & Oaxaca at www.indymedia.org, with links to many sources. Present toll in Oaxaca: Over 20 deaths, dozens disappeared & seriously injured, including children. Journalists are being intimidated & shot at. Among them, Bradley Will, a New York videographer was killed on Oct. 27. His last footage up until the moment he was shot is at Google Video:

U.S.-BACKED TERRORISTS ATTACK MEXICAN POPULATION IN OAXACA

AFTER CENTURIES OF MURDER, EXPLOITATION AND DESTRUCTION OF THEIR HABITAT BY RAPACIOUS ELITES USING DEATH, RAPE AND TORTURE TO SUPPRESS COMPLAINTS, IT IS NOW THE PEOPLE OF MEXICO BRAVELY REMINDING THE WORLD THAT A DIGNIFIED LIFE AND ENVIRONMENT ARE POSSIBLE AND OUR COMMON HUMANITY IS WORTH DEFENDING. THE MORE WE ALLOW IT IN MEXICO OR ELSEWHERE, IT WILL TAKE HOLD HERE AT HOME AS WELL. LIKE CANCER IT STARTS SMALL, AND THEN IT TAKES YOU AWAY. LOVE LIFE AND FREEDOM. KEEP INFORMED, DEFEND HUMAN RIGHTS, YOUR RIGHTS. LIKE RIGHT NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO DO IT.

AS THEY HAD FOR 26 YEARS THE 70,000 STRONG TEACHER’S UNION OF THE SOUTHERN MEXICAN STATE OF OAXACA BEGAN THEIR DEMANDS FOR EDUCATION FUNDING. THIS YEAR THE FORCES OF GOVERNOR ULISES RUIZ ANSWERED THEM BY MURDERING 3 OF THEIR MEMBERS, THIS UNCALLED FOR ACTION WAS THE LAST STRAW IN A LIFE OF CONSTANT FEAR DUE TO STATE INTIMIDATION BY BRUTAL REPRESSIVE TACTICS. THE PEOPLE OF OAXACA KNOW BETTER AND HAVE RALLIED NOT ONLY IN SUPPORT OF THE TEACHERS BUT FOR A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TYPE OF GOVERNMENT WITH BROAD CIVIC PARTICIPATION. A GOVERNMENT FROM BELOW, WHERE THOSE IN POWER GOVERN BY OBEYING, AND THOSE BELOW PARTICIPATE & ARE VIGILANT IN HOW THEIR LIVES & THEIR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT ARE GOVERNED. A PLACE TO BREATH FREEDOM & FRESH OXYGEN, KNOWING THEY ARE RESPECTED. A PLACE WORTH GOING TO ON VACATION. OAXACAN’S ARE ACTING WITH RATIONAL PASSION AFTER GENERATIONS OF ABUSE AND BROKEN PROMISES. TRUTH & TOUGH LOVE IN THE FACE OF FASCISM. AS YOU READ THIS OUR GOVERNMENT IS SUPPORTING THE STATE TERRORISM OF THE PRI & PAN PARTIES IN MEXICO THAT HAVE MADE LIFE TRAGIC & MISERABLE FOR MILLIONS OF MEXICANS UNDER THE GUISE OF “ORDER.” MEXICO ANYONE?

The emails of the Current pro-bush regime are included in the first two
links- even one to Calderon's office- he had to be inaugurated in a locked
room. he is president some months now and has not dealt with the
charges of murder and torture against Governor Ulises Ruis.
