offsite link Pope Leo ? a Chip Off the Old Block (of Ice) Sun Oct 05, 2025 17:00 | Dr Roger Watson
Pope Leo XIV is basically Francis 2.0 ? soft on migration, preaching LGBTQWERTY wokery and now going 'full Greta' by blessing Arctic ice like it's holy water, says Dr Roger Watson.

For those who think liberal democracy is the best form of government, Singapore poses a challenge. It's a technocratic, one-party state characterised by ruthless central planning. Yet it's been astonishingly successful.

Net Zero has been slowly crumbling for years and is now entering the sudden collapse stage, says David Turver. The only people still backing it are the reality-denying zealots of DESNZ and the Climate Change Committee.

At a pro-Palestine protest, Times journalist Matthew Syed asks a simple question about Hamas ? and is met with abuse, denial and antisemitism. What he found in Trafalgar Square wasn't protest but a mob drunk on hate.

The Met Office has all but admitted that huge chunks of its UK temperature data are fabricated after it quietly deleted swathes of 'readings' from closed weather stations. Time for it to come clean, says Chris Morrison.

Brilliant Table Quiz 8pm

Fantastic RAG Fundraiser at the Lower Deck

Fantastic RAG Fundraiser at the Lower Deck, 8pm Tuesday, August 8th 2006

Tuesday, 8th of August will see the table quiz of the year taking place in the Lower Deck, Portobello, Dublin 8. There'll be a variety of rounds of interesting, but not impossibly difficult questions.

The quiz kicks off at 8pm, cost to take part is €5 and tables can have three to five people. The prizes are sure to be out of this world. It promises to be a very amusing, value-for-money evening.

We strongly recommend everyone to attend.

The quiz is being organised by RAG, a revolutionary anarcha-feminist group. We meet regularly in Dublin and intend to bring out a magazine in September 2006. Along side writing articles and preparing the magazine content, we also hold discussions, argue about grammar, show films, provide support for each other and have fun. All money raised will go towards covering the costs of this worthy magazine.

Despite questions which ranged from 'give and example of a modal-verb' to 'who sang the power of love' the first RAG pub-quiz was a glittering success. Prices included bottles of whiskey, wine, a 'barely-used' sex manual and a pair of waterproof trousers.

Money raised will go towards the publication of RAGs first magazine. Can't wait.

Ok, straight away I see my headline is open to lewd interpretation. But what I mean to ask is whether this pub quiz open to people who are not anarcha-feminists.
