After their defeat in 1916 I believe the rebels were called that name numerous times by people like protect . Perhaps he could explain why these people are scum and the others werent . Despite people calling them scum too .

First of all, it is:
Óglaigh Na hÉireann (You spelt it wrong) (It stand for Irish Volunteers or Irish Army)

Secondly, Óglaigh Na hÉireann did not release any statement like the above over easter.

Óglaigh Na hÉireann was marching down O' Connell st. in Dublin on Easter Sunday as 120,000 people cheered & watched on (Certainly a lot more support than any other army wannabees have).

Yes, Óglaigh Na hÉireann are to the Irish Defence Forces, the proud descendents of the Irish Volunteers.

all others are just wannabes and walters.

The IDF ( photo provided above ) are defenders of the establishment in the 26 counties, this as you well know is not the Army representing Ireland, but only the jurisdiction covered by the Act of Ireland Act 1921, ( a partitioned island ) as both the Volunteers and the IRA ( 1919 first Dail Eireann ) were 32 county organisations, it is logical that the IDF are not the inheritors of the title: IRISH ARMY as Ireland is not yet united.

I draw you attention to articles 2,3 and 4 of the Constitution. Especially Article 4

Article 4
The name of the State is Éire, or, in the English language, Ireland.

The 26 counties is Ireland....the Republic of Ireland.....Éire.
The 6 counties is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland..... or also known as Northern Ireland on it own.

The 26 counties is Ireland. Óglaigh Na hÉireann is the Army of Ireland.

Also
IDF stands for Isreali defence forces.

The Irish Army is not the IDF, it is known as Óglaigh Na hÉireann
