Christmas II LUAS party

category dublin | arts and media | event notice author Sunday January 01, 2006 20:17author by Conor O'Higgins - The Ultimate Commentauthor email press at theultimatecomment dot com Report this post to the editors

A psychedelic cult known as 'The Ultimate Comment' is hosting a public party on the LUAS to celebrate its feast day, Christmas 2. The party will take place on the LUAS as it travels along the green line from Stephen's Green to Sandymount and will start at 12 noon on the 2nd of January. The Ultimate Comment has been described as an elaborate joke masquerading as a religion, a religion masquerading as an elaborate joke, and 'a bunch of drugged-up hippes'. Adherents aim to find The Secret Of The Universe (also known as The Ultimate Comment) through the science of Metacommentology and the worship of the Eight Gods: The Dimensional Transfunctioner, General Miaow, Triangulon, The Holy Spoon, The Reality Fish, Thomas The Walking Head, A Magical Trumpet Called Bill and The DXM Angel. They claim to have already discovered 7 of the eight components of The Ultimate Comment.

Commenteers hear it all the time, and this isnt to say it's not the ultimate comment. Well, it isn't the Ultimate Comment, but, essentially, the secret of the universe that douglas adams was trying to represent was something so simple and strikingly comprehensible that it reinforced his idea of relaxing, knowing that everything's ok and not to worry. Now, in this sense, i believe this to be similar to the ultimate comment, that the Ultimate Comment will essentially mean "everything's ok", but in a vastly interconnected and psychedelicly fucked up fun way that involves experimenting with the self, others and society. Which is completely different and more fun that reading a book.

Also, this book is reader-editable.
