Celebrating the Landscapes of Woman-Soul

category dublin | miscellaneous | event notice author Wednesday September 28, 2005 14:45author by Deirdre Clancy - IFRauthor email deeclancy at gmail dot comauthor phone 01 8532703 Report this post to the editors

Women's soul-making has often been forged in the prism of male imagination. Now women in Ireland and beyond appear to be awakening from centuries of sleep. Where can we find the lost treasures of our spiritual heritage? How can we nourish divinity within ourselves? How can we sharpen our vision, gather our resources, and learn to discern between healthy and unhealthy ways of becoming divine? How do we forge new directions and holistic practices to pass onto future generations?

How do we celebrate the landscape of woman-soul? In this course, through poetry, art, bodysoul work, music, ritual, meditation, myth, story, and dance, we will explore these issues in a challenging and supportive environment.

The following resource persons will facilitate our work: Nuala Ahern, Mary Dorcey, Marian Dunlea, Carol Graham, Kathleen Glennon, and Nóirín Ní Ríain (see over for further details) . Course Co-ordinator: Mary Condren WHO SHOULD COME? Women of Ireland and beyond who wish to engage in soul-weaving.
