Do you, Phuq head, have any opinions on this case?

author by Geoff Dolanpublication date Wed Jul 06, 2005 19:55author address author phone Report this post to the editors

Obviously you have a short attention span.My point was this-if we say the Pals are getting a raw deal, we get cat calls and charges of anti semitism, etc. Now, with this case in hand, we see five small farmers getting a raw deal.Hence, the trolls, in keeping up with their patterns of cat calling, etc, will probably call us communists, terrorists, undemocratic, etc.

Can us spell c-o-m-p-a-r-i-s-o-n, or the verb to c-o-m-p-a-r-e?

Is your intellectual ammunition that low that all you can do is pretend to be confused with what is a very s-i-m-p-l-e c-o-m-p-a-r-i-s-o-n?

I feel very angered about the case of the Rossport Five, but I am glad that it is very untouchable. Only a columnist who gets a thrill out of wearing a brown paper bag over it's head in public to avoid identification would write an article defending the great and good sHell. Brendan O' Connor, over to you-Kevin Myarse needs an apprentice shoe shine boy.

Anyway, Strength, Power and Might to the Rossport Five and Their Families. Death Cancer and Disease to the officials, movers shakers and judi-shit-ery behind their jailings and harrasment. Hopefully one day they'll be forced to drink their oil, and inhale their gas, a la Three Kings. :0)

what does this have to do with Palestinians? You're the one trolling by dragging in this crap to the thread.

author by Geoff Dolanpublication date Wed Jul 06, 2005 18:43author address author phone Report this post to the editors

Hurrah! The first troll in relation to this matter has finally raised it's pimpled head.

It is very simple, but of course trolls like you will stonewall or attempt to stonewall any cause that is about fundamental decency.

So, if it's the human rights of innocent Palestinians we are worried about, then the likes of you will call us anti semitic islamofascists. Such a charge becomes a mantra.

In relation to Rossport, we have five farmers who have had a compulsary purchase order made against them so that a pressurised gas pump can be built on their land a few metres from their houses.

One doubts very much that the judges responsible for their ongoing detention (or even weasles likes yourself who use words and catch phrases like 'debate' or 'marxists' in the same breath) would be jumping for joy and having a right kness up at the prospect of a compulsary purchase order made on their property.

Yep, your ranting on debate and accusations of delusion might have worked in some quarters regarding the Iraq assault, but this is too close to the bone because it is right here at home. Perhaps you'd like it if you had a gas pipe line going through your back garden? I don't think so.

Advice; stick to internet rants and un pc names like 'depleted uranium'. Haw,haw, haw, old chap, your wit is like that of a sharpened rapier, that is if you are one of these inbred upper class twits that drink in places with names like the Monday Club..

However, you go round trhe west of Ireland accusing people of being incapable of debate, you might find yourself facing some angry good ol' bhoys from Mayo in the wrong bar, that may render you 'speechless'!

They don't know too much about either Marx or Milton Friedman, but they sure as hell know they don't like Shell, no siree-bob. Hell, even that normally outrageously un pc rag, the Sindo, is keeping mum on this one.

Quit dicking around on this one-this is about the ordinary small guys life and livelyhood. Karma can be a bitch, sometimes, boy.

" . . Ridden Roughshod Over By The Might Of Shell, The Irish State . . "
http://www.indymedia.ie/newswire.php?story_id=69256

''As the Norwegian government currently owns 70% of Statoil, we call on your government to instruct the board of Statoil to stop the coercive intrusion on the lands of families who are being hauled before the High Court in Dublin by Shell on behalf of the consortium of which Statoil is a member.

[....]

This pipeline would not be allowed in Norway. We insist that the same standards that apply in Norway apply in Rossport, Co Mayo and in Ireland generally. Statoil and the Norwegian people will be the beneficiaries of the most generous tax deal in the world.''

As was pointed out in a previous post, the majority of these stations are operated by small businesses. I fail to see what beneficial effect such action will have except to cause unnessicary disruption to local business and motorists.

Apart from making a nusicence of themselves and not assisting reasonable debate in any way I can only assume that OSF's purpose here involves trying to browbeat the stations into purchasing their own brand of reclaimed red diesel.

Given the upper echelons of Sinn Fein's views that it is actually possible to turn a service-based globalised trade-dependant economy with little to no natural resources to speak of into a centrally-planned maxist utpoia, anything's possible.

Demonstrators block vehicles in Mayo
05 July 2005 19:19

In the latest development in the row over a controversial gas pipeline in Co Mayo, Shell Ireland says it is extremely concerned that demonstrators protesting at the site of a gas terminal are this evening preventing vehicles and staff from entering or leaving the site.

About 100 local people, who are protesting at the jailing of five men over their opposition to the pipeline, have been demonstrating at the terminal site throughout the day.

Earlier the protesters claimed that a man had been injured when struck by a lorry but Shell denies there had been any accidents.
