New Pamphlet on Irish Health Service by Dr. Peadar O Grady After more than a decade of the Celtic Tiger economy, an economy characterised by spectacular profit rates, we have a health service which plummets daily to new depths of depravity. |

for we talk in that time span now, in the early days of searching out the affinity between our different interpretations and movements and collectives and individuals wishes - will - & capabilities to change society at "local & trans-national" level, the Q. of access to the excellent printing facilities of the swp was alluded to.
hey guess what!
its being alluded to again.
how much would a several thousand run, 16 page paper cost "all of us" to run up on your belfast based printer?
1 - The SWP do not have a printshop. The British SWP don't either these days. When it comes to things like newspapers of pamphlets they pay the same commercial rates as anyone else. About all they can do for anyone who wants access to those facilities is give them a phone number for a commercial printer.
2 - It is sadly necessary sometimes for left wing organisations or individuals to charge for their papers/books/pamphlets. They cost money to produce and that money has to be collected if any more publications are to follow. Money can be raised in a number of ways but charging for the publication is one of the simplest and most effective methods.
but surely it does not take a genius to realise what is wrong with the health system, namely the 1000s of beds taken out of the service in the late 80s that havent been replaced despite the population growing, i think the solution is more hospital beds and improved services rather then the overthrow of the state by the proletariat and the installation of a socialist system as part of the global overthrow of capitalism by the working class.well thats what i'd imagine anyway..
