The James Connolly Memorial Debate will be held in the Swift Theatre, Trinity College on Wednesday the 31st of March at 7.30pm.

The James Connolly Memorial Debate will be held in the Swift Theatre, Trinity College on Wednesday the 31st of March at 7.30pm.

This year's theme is 'Is a left alternative possible?'

Speakers confirmed at this point at:
Mick O'Reilly of the ATGWU
Mary Lou McDonald of Sinn Fein
Roger Cole of PANA
Deirdre De Burca of the Green Party
Labour speaker (Identity not confirmed)

The event is organised by the Dublin Easter 1916 Commemoration Committee and all are welcome.

Why no Socialist Party speakers? I can understand leaving out the SWP (Nothing personal, but they have no political support) but leaving out the SP is a bit, dare I say it, sectarian?

Is a Left Alternative Possible? what a bizzarre line up for such a discussion everyone of the speakers is a member of a right wing bourgeios party! What would they know about the left?
