JD, that 2nd shot is brilliant...

it wierded me out how every riot cop at city hall had a gun on them...

i haven't seen that here, though things are regressing in the Rep. too... especially judging by the riot squad brutality at the blockade in front of the Dail earlier this month.

Oh no not Musgrave st peeler station, many a time I've been locked up in there. Its very easy to relieve peelers of their guns in a crowd situation. Crowd presses against peelers, hundreds of hands grasping out, peelers aren't usually gripping their guns, they prefer instead to show off, swinging their hips etc, easy to slide a hand in and take their guns off them. If you watch them closely you will see, that they are more interested in showing off, and looking hard in their uniforms, funny hats. They don't expect someone to pickpocket their guns.
