offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

This story is unverified but it is very instructive of what will happen when cash is removed
THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

CIE Workers to down tools on 'Day X'

At 12 noon

Great news! I've just had it confirmed that CIE Workers will down tools at 12 noon on "Day X" for a minimum of 10 minutes. However from what I've been told the CIE Shop Stewards have said that they'll back any workers who decide to stay out for longer than 10 minutes and I know that many of the CIE Workers will down tools for the rest of the day on "Day X". Many of them have said that they'll block the roads and railways with their buses and trains. Hopefully this will spur other key sectors of Workers such as ESB and An Post Workers to stop work at 12 noon on "Day X" and to stay out for the rest of the day.

Too late for a mere 10 minute stoppage. We must bring the entire country to a complete standstill.
We should also consider a consumer strike, aimed primarily at US and British owned businesses.

A day long strike by Bus Drivers on Day "X" would only prevent people from getting to anti war demonstrations in the city center. Most of the people I know who went to the Feb 15th march did so by bus and would be unable to attend in the event of a withdrawal of public transport. I think they are right to have a small protest of less than an hour as they would show their opposition to the war but would also play a bigger part by getting protestors into town.

Why does everyone have to go into the center of Dublin for a f***king march? What's the point of a strike that allows everything to go on as usual.

Close the f****ing country down. Strike where you are.

Do we have to keep shops open so that marchers can buy sweeties?

Do we have to keep newspapers staffed so that marchers can see pictures of themselves?

Do we have to et-f***king cetera

Strike or shut the f**k up.

You guys are really showing what you are all about - damaging society - it was never about the war - its about destroying the state and the government - if the war starts you have a stark choice back good or bad - by striking you are directly backing Saddam.

If you really cared about the Iraqi people you would be pushing for fast resolution to the war and demanding the US/UK doesnt use inds weps.

Then again that wouldn't get Boyd-Barret and the rest of the SWP, the hijackers of the AWM any votes at the next local elections!

Its time for us in Labour to withdraw our support from this action.

Bit of a fascist are we? I agree with dun laoghaire lad. Paralysing the centre of dublin will do nothing to help alleviate the suffering of the Iraqi people. There is no point in having anti war demonstrations if the only people at them are the bus drivers. We want to send a clear and unified message to Ahern that we are aginast this war. That means as many people as possible should make their way into town to protest in the same area. Which means public transport will be needed. I take it you support the grassroots against war stance? Do what you want without thinking of the consequences to the overall movement which we have all seen work so well in Shannon.

Even though I'm a member of the Irish Anti War Movement I do believe that the 10 minute work stoppage (tea break) is a bit of a joke considering that in many other countries people will be engaging in at the very least 1/2 day work stoppages on "Day X". I do agree though that Public Transport should operate to carry people to and from any actions that will happen on "Day X". From what I've been told, and what I also hope does happen is that the bus AND rail workers will do what they did during the huge PAYE tax marches of the late 1970s and early 1980s when they stopped work at 12 noon for an hour, then resumed a limited special, Nitelink type shuttle service to carry people to and from the PAYE tax demos and then once people were safely home from the demos they again stopped all Public Transport for the remainder of the day. On "Day X" they will probably keep a special bus and rail service going till 9pm to ensure that everyone gets home safely. Finally I should emphasise that its ALL CIE Workers (Dublin Bus, Mainline Irish Rail, the DART and Bus Eireann, and including mechanics, signaling staff, cleaners, drivers, inspectors, maintainance staff, refuelers etc) who will be downing tools at 12 noon on "Day X", not just Dublin Bus drivers. Maybe I didn't make the point clear enough in my original posting.

Should have said "Maybe I didn't make that point clear enough in my original posting." Instead of "Maybe I didn't make the point clear enough in my original posting." Aaargh!

Bit of a moron are we Ailin? I disagree with "dun laoghaire lad". Not paralysing the centre of dublin will do nothing to help alleviate the suffering of the Iraqi people. There is no point in having anti war demonstrations if they don't inflict an economic cost on Ahern and his backers. We have already sent a clear and unified message to Ahern that we are aginast this war. That means that he's already got the message you dolt. He's IGNORING the message. It is time to MOVE ON. Which means that something other than trying to send messages will be needed. I take it you want to actually stop the war? Do what you want without thinking of the consequences to the overall movement which we have all seen work so well in Shannon.

The 10 minute lark is pathetic even by the low standards of the swp. Mr Kinsella's suggestion of buses and other vehicles being used to block roads is far more effective. This could have huge impact against the weak underbelly of the US (war) economy, namely the many US multinationals based in Ireland.
