It's bad enough that all UK TV users are forced to fund the BBC via a TV licence. But it's worse than that, says Charlotte Gill: millions of pounds of taxpayers' money are handed to the corporation via backdoor channels.

download here, pamphlett on 1968 too.

After some technical problems, Socialist Alternatives Free news bulliten is now avalible to download online as a PDF, from the links below. It will also be avalible free around town in the Hidden Book and Record Store, Books Upstairs and at demonstrations as long as copies last. For those of you in UCD, copies can be picked up at the Blob in the Arts Block.

We have also recently compiled a pamphlet on 1968, an eyewitness account by an english activist present in Paris during the heady days of May, detailing the emergence of the movement, its revolutionary potential and its betrayal as the 'vangaurd' of the communist party contained struggle in the Ballot box. The 24 page pamphlet is being distributed free as long as we can afford to do this, some have been made avalible in the Hidden Book and Record Store, in UCD and at Demonstrations.

You can download a copy of it from http://homepage.eircom.net/~antrophe/paris%201968.pdf

Alternatively read the text of the origianal pamphlet at http://flag.blackened.net/revolt/disband/solidarity/may68.html

'Fair play' it's a fucking dire publication. I've read it it's shite. Why are you wasting your time on this drivel. And you lot have the cheek to have a go at the 'Socialist Worker', it seems to me that your choice of publication has matched your politics, from bad to worse and rapidly degenerating.

seems the trotskyists can't deal with the publications cos they don't follow the party fucking line.

they didn't "choose" the publication either, they produced it. which makes a lot more sense than getting this months propaganda from the party boss and standing around selling it at protests as if people can consume their way to a better society.

fair play and keep it up socialist alternative!
