Britain is in the throes of a 'superflu' scare, and so is Canada. But oddly, all is calm in Europe, while the WHO reports nothing out of the ordinary. What's really going on, ask Prof Carl Heneghan and Dr Tom Jefferson.

offsite link The Problem With ?Safeguarding? Wed Dec 17, 2025 13:56 | Mary Gilleece
'Safeguarding' is becoming a big problem, and not just because it's being weaponised against conservatives, says Mary Gilleece. Children are being put at risk as criminal conduct is tolerated under 'safeguarding' rules.

being regurgitation of current chatter in the newsrooms

and a nod and a wink to two previous posts.

The two previous.
previous the first [in one of those moods]
a review of anglo-american war theory.
previous the second [still sulking a little]
a reference to the aniversary of the birth of Martin Niemeyer being a tribute to "those who speak out for us".

In the first I wrote of the circles of influence that were thought to influence those who are best associated with "The History of Europe".
I did so as a nod and a wink to the split at heart of the Western Alliance.
But where there is a split apparant there is almost completely common tissue. The Western Alliance may change but not at a whim, it generally is more slow in its phases of action.

In the first I wrote of numerous possible beginnings of our movement...where is it we came from whence have we emerged whither do we go?
We too may change the phases of our action.

The newsrooms today chatter of the use of Anti-Terrorist legislation (2000) in the UK. It is reported that several arrests have been made in the continuing "clamp down" on terrorist groups. Reference has been made to the list below. One of the arrested is reported as being at present "in contempt of court".
This causes me pause of thought-

In Ireland many of us have now recieved "injuctions" on several different fronts. Shannon (both airport and peace camp) and Castlemines have been served with "warnings" from above.
This is to be expected Shannon (both airport and peace camp) and Castlemines have been serving "warnings" on above for quite some time.

So Ireland shows sign of resisting occupational protest. Well it always has. At the heart of Irish legislation are numerous laws and practises who find their roots in ocupational issues in the immediate post famine period.

Ireland returns to "who controls which campsite, who shall feed the fire, which bridge so many feel they must cross" again and again.
aris agus aris.

There are more than a few ways to cross a bridge and feed a fire.

We as Irish know full well and have come to think about the significance of such issues in the last while maybe not of our own volition. But if they have caused this re-thinking they have done so.
Property has been at heart of numerous phases of Irish history from the Famine to the Civil Rights marches of the 1960s.

Would the reaction of "above" who we have warned us on so many fronts have been different if the order of actions had been?

maybe.

But the advantage served to our movement would have been less.

For we are now in a most advantagous position.

There are less than two weeks till the global day of action.
The fellowship of the Shannon Camp may now disperse unnoticed into the hills and do their thing on a national scale.
(i am nodding and winking at Tolkien sorry)
Ireland has most excellent digital and audio and video coverage of these past times and the time to make good use of these resources is now.
