We're a week away from the most painful Budget in history thanks largely to the eye-watering cost of lockdown. Yet Baroness Hallett says next time the Government must be ready to go harder and faster. This is insanity.

It's bad enough that all UK TV users are forced to fund the BBC via a TV licence. But it's worse than that, says Charlotte Gill: millions of pounds of taxpayers' money are handed to the corporation via backdoor channels.

We should stop underestimatingthe size of Saturday's demo and accepting the figure put out by the establishment. A count was done during the march and the figure was close to 3,000

Indymedia posting 4 new articles in a week!!?? Yes indeed, as George O'Connor, said - great coverage!! keep it up!! Not enuf new articles are being posted in the main section.

Also the opinion pieces at the end of the articles is a very good idea and then a seperate place just to comment on the overall article.

It gives readers a chance to keep a longer detate going on issues. The newswire column is receiving heavier traffic and news and subsequent debates goes down the wire very quickly now.

Again, this is just fantastic reporting and is head and shoulders above the level of most of the dross that one gets either on corporate media or on other alt-news.

It revealed the completely one-sided uses of State power against concerned citizens trying to uphold the law. I am interested in the fact that the Gardai and security people appear to feel that it is there right not to show their badges properly, to demand that recording cease and to refuse to investigate serious breaches of our territorial sovereignty.

It really shows ordinary people what their job is and how they don't answer to us.
